Mean while back in court (27 Viewers)

If SISU lose and take it to another level then it will continue to really irritate floating supporters. If they win however, make a packet and fuck off into the sunset it could open up all sorts of opportunities !

If they win don't they move on to JR2 ?

I think most are bored of it now.

Most of the floating fans I know couldn't point Tim Fisher out to you, they just want to go and watch football.

Can it be adjourned? Everybody gets into court, they just say "We don't know still, come back in a few months"

Not sure most floating supporters care. They just want to see the team on the pitch.

Today wasn't a fixed date, it was left that once they'd decided the court would reconvene and judgement passes, so can't see that happening.

I think it's best to read both, then go down the middle!

I genuinely don't think Simon's is as spun as Les' (that why I found the original post very ironic)
With Les it seems quite personal due what has happened to him.
Good call though read both and if you have the time read the transcripts
Again I just wish it was about also much more than just is it aid or not.

Maybe. I didn't much like the reporting in the CT anyway, but after all the collusion stuff came up, which the CT didn't mention, then that did it for me.

Really? Do you think so Duffer?

I would've thought it would've been the other way round due to councils funding essentially coming from central Govt/public money. Surely SISU could pump millions and millions into legal paths...I wouldn't have though a public body would be able to do that, especially given the current climate.

I honestly do SBK. They've got their own complete legal department for a start, and the ability and funds to go as far as required. In terms of an LA's resources, this is peanuts. I've never yet heard of a council abandoning a legal action because it's run out of budget. If they think a case has political merit, or is in the public interest, they fight it all the way. Look at the chap who has ended up in the high court because the council isn't willing to accept the magistrates' decision regarding taking kids out of school - judicial reviews against the government with regard to HS2 etc. I make no comment on the merits of those cases, but they're an example of how councils regard legal action.

The last thing you want to do, in my opinion, is end up in court against a statutory authority - it's a bottomless pit of legal resources. SISU might be able to bully individuals and other organisations via the courts because the sheer cost is prohibitive, but it won't work against CCC I'm afraid. And every time SISU lose in court, costs are awarded against them remember - so the Council doesn't lose the full amount of their costs in any case.

Wow, that was quick. Went to get a cup of tea, came back and it was all over. Hardly a surprise.

I can understand the court cases if it could have got the CLUB the stadium, now it is passed it. It's pointless.

Bugger, we're not going to get promoted now!

Yep. I'd take a definitive council win ahead of promotion next season. Genuinely. Really want to see those hard-nosed bastards get their just desserts.

As much as I can see the merits in SISU's case, I do wish a line could be drawn under it now. Carry on trying to get the club into a self-sufficient position, negotiate (as much as it pains me to say it) the best possible deal with Wasps/ACL and cut your losses by making the club available for takeover. Enough is enough.

Gotta love how SISU batter people in court.

So, will people now accept the decision?

Justice served surely.

Sisu ordered to pay the council's costs.

Time to move on. Enough is enough. More focus from SISU on the club and not on court cases.

Sisu's time must surely be up now. There is nowhere and nothing else for Sisu to do / offer

Does anyone else get a feeling that we might get taken over by Wasps, Are they not loaded?

They own the Ricoh, would get money from the football and rugby side, potential to make fortunes if invested correctly and got us to the premier league with TV rights etc...

Fair reply Duffer but don't ever, ever, call me SBK again! It's SBW or SBWM to you ;-)

I'd rather stick with SISU then be taken over by Wasps to be honest.

That's the thing, at what point do they stop getting beaten?

Reminds me of a dickhead in a pub who gets a kickin all the time but keeps starting on people. At what point do you just stop starting on people?

Not sure why people think they will go. I think this decision will mean they remain around for a long time yet.
