Being released by Cardiff apparently , I would love to see him here but a little worried about injuries , is it another reda Johnson situation .
Also the wage may be too high for us anyway , but if he's available im sure Mowbray will have a look

Made his return against Birmingham on the final day of the season and played brilliantly .

If he really wants him I'm sure TM can swing it....be a great return for us! Got a good feeling about this for some reason....

If some rumours are to be believed

RCC
WILLIS
TURNER
STEPHENS
STOKES
VINCELOT
GHADZEV
FLYNN
BAKER
JONES
CLARKE

I know this won't happen , but that would be top 6 surely

That's less than Reda
Both on a pay as you play
You would then have to sign 2 more centre backs as there's no emergency loans apparently next season, otherwise ricketts and harries will be playing most of the season. No, we should just leave both well alone.

I would like Turner and Reda as our CB pairing, TM wants dominant defenders.

However, the injury records for both players is a issue, we need a solid, stable back 4 next season.

I would be happy to offer them both pay as you play deals, even if its until January with a clause to give them a 1 year deal that is triggered if they play X amount of games

Both turner and Johnson injury prone and both left footed...I think even if both fit TM would only play one of them. If we can get turner then take him

Luckily MKD want to offer him a new deal, don't they?

We are obsessed with ex players.

Trouble is even if we signed/re-signed both of them, they'd probably never be fit at the same time.

Are the injuries that he's had more the injury prone side of things where he's likely to fall apart often or is it impact stuff where he's just had rotten luck? If there was a chance of him coming back I'd take the risk personally.

Perfect captain but is unlucky if we got him him and Clarke plus another fast winger we would walk this league

What injuries has he had? If the medical staff are confident in his fitness I would love to have him here.

I think he is a cracking defender but clearly isn't going to get fit in the near future otherwise Cardiff wouldn't have released him. Someone will take a gamble on him though.

Thinking about two left-footed defenders playing together is incredibly dissatisfying!

Ankles are made of glass if I remember rightly, his injury here looked innocuous I think. I think he jumped up with a header and when he landed it didn't look particularly painful but he injured it for another 4 months in the landing impact.

He needs some landing practise then the big lump!

I'd take him back, even if we only got half a season, low wage and high appearance fee though, same as any deal for Reda. Not sure I'd want them both though, depends on how much they would cost when injured.

Maybe if we had both, we might get 25 games between the two

Think about it this way, we had both of them last season at different times, and they still only covered about half the season between them. Too much risk I'm afraid. I think Ben and Reda are great players, but it's no good if they are not on the pitch for at least 60-70% of the season.

<snip> depends on how much they would cost when injured.

The real cost when a player is injured is the cost of their replacement and the cost of disruption to the team. If you look at the true cost of re-signing Reda this season, it was huge.

Yup. And we cannot afford the luxury of unnecessary risk.
