Surely, given the size of the site, the main constraint on the capacity of the stadium is that pitch in its centre. Or maybe just the pitch with free VR headsets for season ticket holders.

No specific questions more advice to the members of the SCG who tend not to ask the obvious questions it seems to me

Keep an open mind, do not be taken in by glitzy ideas and promises and to everything said the three most useful words are
How?
When ?
Why?
Choose as appropriate, but be persistent in getting proper and full answers

Nah sod that go for a 5k stadium.
Say tough shit to anyone who doesn't already have a season ticket.
Keep it that way in the premiership as well if we get there and charge 10000k a season ticket as demand will outstrip supply
Sorted

Where is anyone asking for a 50K stadium Stu?

A 15,000 stadium is two massive steps back for the club from HR. The fanbase is there for a 20-25,000 stadium, especially in the championship.

No one is suggesting a 50,000 seater stadium.

Good comment OSB and points noted, just hope we get an opportunity to put these over.

Apparently we have been asking for a 90k stadium as well.
At least Stu's attempt to exaggerate in order to make the others persons compelling arguement look silly was limited to just a 50k stadium.
Hence my 5k stadium response:vulcan:

No one, I'd misread what don't had posted earlier, he was quite reserved, he onky asked for 40k..

And I was only joking, I wasnt trying to be flippant.

Houses or our brew stadium at 40k capacity plus a training/academy set up. Also room for parking. Aston Martin flagged up fir it who pulled out. So how about putting both sides to the test. See who really is bluffing?

30k is what I really want and I think more than reasonable to ask for

Ridiculous with zero credibility. If the butts plan was 30,000 you'd want 35,000 - there is no way we'd sell 30,000 even in the premiership for 70% of games - in the championship it will be half empty - oh and we ain't got any chance of the premiership anyway.

Our biggest attendances since being at the Ricoh

Coventry City 0–2 Chelsea FA Cup quarter-final 7 March 2009 31,407
Coventry City 0–3 Crewe Alexandra Football League Trophy area-final 5 February 2013 31,054
Coventry City 2–3 Leeds United Football League Championship 6 November 2010 28,184
Coventry City 0–5 West Bromwich Albion FA Cup Fifth Round 16 February 2008 28,163
Coventry City 1–1 Middlesbrough FA Cup Fourth Round 28 January 2006 28,120
Coventry City 1–1 Wolverhampton Wanderers Football League Championship 26 April 2008 27,992
Coventry City 1–0 Gillingham Football League One 5 September 2014 27,306
Coventry City 0–1 Birmingham City Football League Championship 31 October 2006 27,212
Coventry City 2–0 Wolverhampton Wanderers Football League Championship 2 January 2006 26,851
Coventry City 1–1 Leicester City Football League Championship 17 April 2006 26,672
Coventry City 1–1 Leeds United Football League Championship 18 March 2006 26,643
Coventry City 0–1 West Bromwich Albion Football League Championship 28 April 2007 26,343

A stadium that holds 25K would be fine. We would just need it planned so that if we need more tickets we reduce the size of the away end to the minimum allocation allowed which is 10%

So even during 15years of decline we can still command big crowds from time to time. Best hope the decline continues so the 15K capacity at the BPA becomes adequate. Another 5 years should do it. If only we had owners capable of delivering this. ;)

Yup, and if to tickets were hard to come by you would be getting 12.5-13.5k week in week out, and not the odd 15-16k mixed in with 8-9k crowds, I mean 8k for a league game in a 32k stadium is fecking rediculous....

Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
Lowest crowd last season just under 10000. This was the only league game with a less than 5 figure crowd. We should plan for potential crowds not those we got under Pressley.

This might have been one of the things on Anderson's list but can someone ask about primacy. FL regs require us to have primacy but we clearly don't as we've had games moved for other events at the Ricoh let alone rugby. I assume the FL have used their discretion to allow this but I can't imagine they will allow that to go on forever. Can we get some clarification on the situation.

What happens if the other team doesn't agree to the fixture move or Sky want to broadcast a match and we can't accommodate them?

VERY.

Sadly, dosen't warrant building stadium for though.

Depends. If our owners are planning on bringing success to the club it does. Future proof the stadium. It's planning for the future. As is planning a 15K stadium. Tells you everything you want to know about what our owners have planned for our future really. Shame a large section on here aren't willing to fight for something better.

A one-off possibly but a large away support on top of a reasonable start in the championship campaign

Not as important as BPA debate, however I would like to know if anyone from CCFC has asked the council about the flags on the island and when it will be our turn. How can it be fair to allow a franchise rugby team from London to have precedent over club from our own city who have existed here for well over 100 years. I hate Sisu but Sisu are not my club so cannot believe CCC would, could snub us in this way. Who at the council has made this decision?

Leeds sold out their 6K and had supporters in the home ends. Even if you don't count them that means 22,184 homes fans. A 25K with the minimum allocated to away supporters would mean that even for that game all the home fans that wanted to get a ticket would have.

Don't know if anyone has asked the council from CCFC but I do know the flags were arranges by ACL not Wasps and they are allowed to use them for any Ricoh event. Unfortunately they decided to only promote one of the teams that play there.

Completely disagree
If we got to the Premier League
The way football is today. 30k would just about do the job. Obviously we would struggle for the bigger matches.
The only reason I am accepting 30k is because it is only a small step down from what we have today.

We also got 7-8 crowds of less than 10k in our first season in league, including under Robin's, so its not all down to pressley.

IF.
Cant base a business plan on IF. History shows a 20k stadium would be ample for us

Not true. History shows plenty of occasions when we have averaged over 20k. As previous posts have pointed out, a successful season this year gates will again start to push towards the 20 k Mark and will exceed it if form is maintained. First season back in the Championship on the back of a bit of success crowds would average over 20k.
We should plan a stadium based on the assumption we will continue to fail? A very bleak view of the future.
