You've got to be realistic, they're not going to close one of the main roads into Earlsdon 23 times a year. (mainly on a Saturdays).
And as I've said several times about infrastructure, this isn't about vehicular access, the pedestrian access to the site is currently very poor.
If someone can show me feasible solutions to these issues, how implementing them will be funded and to what capacity the ground will increase beyond the current figures banded about of 13-18,000 then I'm all for BPA but until then I'm sceptical.

Maybe it won't, but I want to see a viable plan for the increasing the stadium capacity otherwise I'm sceptical of anything other than us been stuck in a 15k stadium for the foreseeable future.

It's too rural and has dreadful access, probably one of the reasons why it hasn't been developed by its existing owner.

That does look rural and about halfway between two motorway Jn's, what is the land
just north of the airport, north and south of the A45 jwhere it meets the A444 .
From Google maps it just looks like rough ground, looks about 2 miles from
the city centre.
I do realise I'm clutching at straws, does anyone know what it is / who owns it .
The proposed development is for a marina, so most of the punters would have been from the canal.
However, it'd be a ball ache for people to get to if it was a stadium site and only one access from Alderman's Green Road. Plus only a few boozers nearby and not a lot of other amenities.
But it's a decent size site and maybe could encourage people to spend money on site and thereby increase revenue for the club/team.
So, in short it's definitely splinters in bum time for me on this one

Some of the roads in the area are bad. Last season I got stuck in traffic on my way to Swindon. And that was well before kick off time for sure as I was on my way to the game. So I would guess that it would be worse later in the afternoon. But with it being in a central location you wouldn't have to drive there. And it is close enough to get there by train.
We should wait and see what the plans are before saying that the site isn't big enough. It will be difficult with the old people's home on the doorstep. But there could be ways around it. And maybe standing would be allowed. It is in the division that we play in. IIRC we would have 2 years to make it an all seater if we got promoted. So we would have at least 3 years of being able to stand in a stadium near the city centre. What a bonus.
On the other hand we don't know what SISU are planning. Has this come out to aid them in getting a better deal with Wasps? Have they continued with what looks to be futile litigation with CCC to get them to help with planning permission? Have they decided to try something at the Butts as they know that they are going to upset Wasps with litigation?
Show me the details and I will decide. Not before. I don't think that it will happen. But that doesn't mean that it won't.

That's reminded me, Celtic will have a safe standing area next season. If successful I 'm sure it will be rolled out in England. That could go some way toward increasing capacity in a smaller stadium.

Yes your right Norman, I should of got that correct as I like seeing pictures of old grounds. I think they have volunteers to maintain the terracing etc ,they overlook the trees growing through the concrete though.
Bradford PA old pitch I think is now half a cricket pitch and a half keep fit place/gym , someone told me that the old turnstiles and some terracing are still there ,like you id love to visit the old grounds.
I'm sure Millmoor is still up as is Belle Vue and Hull's old ground, but could be wrong on that as well

Just thought I'd have a look at what Earlsdon residents are saying on FB.
Not overly chuffed at the thought of the City moving in at all seemingly.
There's only half a dozen comments mind. They will now be known as the Earlsdon Six.
As a side note, just in general, the hot topic in Earlsdon is parking (nowt to do with the City or Butts), just in general.
