Wasps are squeezing Sisu/CCFC in all areas.
Negotiations at the Ricoh have stalled as we now wait to for Sisu to compete legal action first.
CCFC stay at the Ricoh for another 2 years and after that it will be under Wasps terms.
Looks like Wasps will accommodate the academy at the Higgs but in their facilities.

Let’s face it Wasps have us by the short and curlies and there is nothing Sisu/we can realistically do about it.

IMHO Wasps want the club and Sisu are playing right into their hands.

Wasps are just sitting back, appearing to be sympathetic to our needs and letting Sisu self-destruct CCFC, effectively devaluing it. A tactic that Sisu are well familiar with.

Sisu/CCFC can’t afford to build a new stadium or an academy so they are totally in Wasps control and that’s exactly what Wasps want.
It appears to me that soon it will be just a simple management change for Wasps to take over the club and continue to accommodate it at the Ricoh and Higgs.
It may be just my opinion but I have also picked up hints from people I know at the Ricoh.

We are therefore now approaching the end game.

I want Sisu out and I believe Wasp can offer a solution (maybe the only solution) that will get us back on the football track.
We need to wait for Sisu to exhaust themselves and we need to accelerate that process at every opportunity.
We need to tell them we have had enough and want them to put the club up for sale and leave.
Nobody surely wants them here anymore, they had a go and failed. They do not have the answers to the problems they have caused..
We could say that the club is self-sufficient thanks to them, but now they need to let it go.
It would be a nice parting gesture but are they big enough to do it.

To help move this on we need to be more proactive.

I personally don’t like protests that effect the players but the return of Sisu protest flags would be a start.
Any chanting could be at half time or by staying behind after the match.
Keep to just football chanting during the match as the players are not to blame.

I know it may go against the grain for some that Wasps would own and run the club but survival of the club is more important.
It also gives the club the identity, finance and infrastructure it has lacked for so long. Be it shared with Wasps.
Yes, there will be competition for funds for both clubs at the Ricoh but the position is better than what we have at the moment or in the foreseeable future.
If Wasps own CCFC the PL would be a source of funds and profile for both clubs and the stadium sponsorship etc.

How low that Sisu will let us go before they release us remains to be seen?
It is fool-hardy for Sisu ,or fans, to assume that they will ever get their money back.
We have a few years of court cases before it will happen but it’s now just a waiting game. It’s all about Sisu pride now.
It may even mean Sisu taking us to the Butts in temporary stands for the interim but the Ricoh will always be there under Wasps control for us.
It’s high stakes and personally I can see that we will go into administration one more time before the final solution is upon us.

We need to reflect where we are and not be distracted that Wasps have outmanoeuvred Sisu or they have relocated to Coventry, after all it’s just ownership.

We can influence the timing and we should help the inevitable by getting rid of Sisu by a ‘death by a thousand cuts’.

Just let it happen and help if you can.

Called it days ago that it could be the ownership being forced to wasps.

Obvious really.

Did you write that? Looks like a press release

It's not surprising people will be encouraging sisu out protests now, that ramped up a few weeks ago.

Un fucking believable! Keep ramping up your pr italia. Doing Eastwood proud. Never known anyone fall over themselves that much to accommodate the latest hedge fund in town.

Wasps aren't going to take over the football club.

Agree with this personally.

I don't think the situation CCFC currently find themselves in is part of a Wasps master plan - I just think they've taken advantage of gaps left, which has been to the massive detriment of CCFC.

It's not so much the content, it's just how it quite clearly isn't something italia would write. The style of it, some of the words used etc.

The same way as it's almost campaign like

It's amazing how all of this stuff ramps up when it's possible the council or wasps could look bad.

If a new member signed up and posted it it would be obvious, it's stranger that italia does as it shows he didn't actually write it.

All my own words I'm sorry to disappoint.
It's just an opinion but in my eyes it's the only way forward.
In 2 years time we will be a football club with most our facilities owned by Wasps.
Easy to take over and the only way forward.
Let's help by getting Sisu out !!

The day they do is the day I'm gone, but unlike you I won't bore this forum off telling people how I'm going, honestly I'm not going to watch them anymore, no really.

Well I mean yeah we should totally replace our current hedge fund owners who have shown no reluctance to move a club from its home with another set of hedge fund owners who have shown no reluctance to move a club from its home.....
whilst replacing old debt with new debt

Sounds to me like Wasps see us as a problem causing complicated pile of shite. That they would like to step away from.
It is easier for them to step away if we cause the problems ourselves.
As in they say nothing can be concluded until the legal action finishes.
Knowing we will just carry on with the legal action thinking they are bluffing and eventually we may end up in a 12k stadium in the Butts with no academy.
Great.

I can see the theory but whichever way we look at it we are in the shit. Whether it's another admin or kicked out.

Sisu investors or whatever they are must be sick to the back teeth of this. It's wasting or has wasted loads of money and to still be here 8 years on is surely testing Their patience. What did joy say before.... We almost went to the wall and tested our investors patience. Well what about now the Ricoh has been missed which I'm sure was the promise before "oh guys hang on because we can get the Ricoh for cheap" now that's gone why still be here.

Personally I don't think wasps and Coventry city coming together is a bad thing myself although happening is another matter. We would own the club and get out of league 1 for a start. Wasps have shown to be competent and outplayed us sadly at every turn. They know business.

I don't know, I'm rambling I just look for anything these days to get us out of this mess. It's so depressing.

Again, this is not a true message is it. They've shown themselves competent in moving a club from its home, that's true... after being particularly *in*competent in managing to deliver on their stated aim to play in London. And yes, they know business... as opposed to culture, or the idea of being a custodian of a *club* for future generations.

Seems like the forum is getting back to its former glory days. Got to agree, the stuff you and Grendel come up with, Goebbels would be proud of.

However, let's say for instance CCFC or Wasps is up for sale and everything has a price: how much is CCFC or Wasps worth to both hedge funds?

It's makes complete sense for Wasps to own the club and do a lot of sharing.
However I get the impression unde the current circumstances they want nothing to do with us.
Also that SISU do not seem prepared to walk away.
The problem fur me us what is best for the club may not match what is best for SISU in terms of getting into a position of walking away.
I just hope their final solution if it is another stadium has the capacity fur expansion.

Of course playing Devils advocate here but if your trying to buy something wouldn't you try to show that you don't really want it... Sorry to raise Godwin's law on the thread but Stalin did that with Berlin.

People that wish us and Wasps to be under the same ownership might want to read up on what happened when QPR and Wasps were under the same ownership.
I've yet to read a compelling argument on why wasps would want to buy us.

Depends on the reality of how much money, via rent and matchday income, CCFC generates for Wasps. If it is a worthwhile amount they could wait for SISU to walk away, where given the situation we are in will likely mean administration, and pick the club up for nothing with the debt removed.

Then they just leave the club to its own devices as self sustaining and continue to benefit from the clubs income.

What they won't be doing is pumping money into the club to make it successful.

I would say that getting out of L1 at the moment is not what Wasps would want. It would increase the value and delay Sisu departure.
No matter how you cut it, there will be more pain before gain.
Wasps need us to be totally dependant on them, perhaps on our last legs and then the switch to happen.

It makes every sense for Wasps to own us. At the right price.
The unknown is what level they will keep us at.
If the club is really self sufficient they could just keep us ticking over at this level.

Oh, but it does make sense. Some 15.000 potential new buyers of their high risk bonds.
