Closer to home I remember when Peugeot decided to close Ryton with the loss of Coventry jobs they opened a brand new facility in Slovenia (partly paid for with EU grants)
In case someone wants some figures to show how the EU can benefit some countries at the expense of others just check the following and ask yourself why we are net contributors money wise and why Europe are desperate for us to stay

Its not true to say we can't stop convicted criminals entering the country either. The citizenship directive maintains that free movement can be restricted for public policy, public security or public health reasons.

So if someone commits murder in this country why would another country want them deported? They become our problem whichever country they were born in.
How are we supposed to know which person has committed what crime when there isn't a system through Europe to say who has done what?

That is some claim.... and I don't believe it. I live in Germany and our water is great. Cannot speak for every country though, but there are EU regulations on water quality.

....ahhhh the Express...says it all. So far there are 2 examples, 1 from the Mail and 1 from the Express.
Still doesn't explain why each EU country has its own set of rules considering that all EU member states have to abide by EU laws.

If we are no longer a part of the EU it would surely just mean we are more able to pick and choose the directives we feel would be most to our advantage? Thats a good thing.
The downside is that the modern politician appears to care more about growing the economy to feed their coffers than they do about the about the general quality of life of people that are a part of that economy.

Why do EU countries have different laws considering that you claim they are unable to make their own laws and must abide by laws made up by the EU?
If we pick and choose what to follow and what not to follow, then we will not necessarily be better off. It depends who you mean as 'we' e.g. a labour government, a tory government or UKIP. We shouldn't kid ourselves that Britain alone would be paradise. There is so much nostalgia here. Things were not better than now 50 years ago. We were certainly not as wealthy or healthy ( we live longer ). The gap between rich and poor may be greater, but that would be with or without the EU, as seen elsewhere.
