What is going on here?

You used to come out with good comments and debates. Now you sound like a cock. Are you really a CCFC supporter?

I reserve the right to respond to someone insulting me or making false statements just because I won't agree with fighting rather than talking.

At least some people are trying to have a go back on the CT. Like the one below - cue red thumbs all over the shop:

I see the unofficial (or is it official) band of Wasps sycophants are out in force again - funny how the only place you ever encounter them is on here. Not met one in the real world. Propping up this shameless hedge fund owned Rugby franchise who were teetering on the brink of financial oblivion before somebody gifted them a stadium out of spite to the city's football club. Loved the way they then dumped a load of brown stuff on the fanbase who had made them what they were over a century and a half. Classy.

They waltz into a football city like Coventry and start throwing their weight around - flouncing about the place like butter wouldn't melt, cheered on by a bunch of simpletons.

SISU have been terrible owners. CCFC on the other hand is a sporting institution of 133 years that needs protecting. #gohomelondonwasps

That's interesting - think Nick Eastwood quoted 92% of the 28,000 had Coventry post codes which equates to about 2500 from elsewhere (inc away supporters).

So possibly a hardcore from outside Coventry of about 2000 to 3000. Impressive.

Love the enthusiasm for freebies, esp. Schools etc. But it didn't work long term for sarries when they moved to vicarage road, even though they had big signings and some success on the field. Big gates that gradually fezzled away.

Hope it works better at the Ricoh.

There seems to be lots of clutching at straws on the Sky Blues talk forum. They seem to hope the crowds will go down at which point we will then give them the stadium. They also seem to have no understanding of the context of rugby or Wasps. when speculating about what the numbers mean.
There was bound to be a drop off from the first game. The unanswerable question is how many of the 28000 have we won as fans. There has not been a drop off in Wasp supporters from the first game just a drop off in attendance. the success of the move will be known in 5-10 yearsd and even then what is success. The fact that Wasps still exist could be seen as success. Rather than straight numbers comaprison to other clubs attendances is probably as good a way to judge it. In 5 years time i would hope we average in the top 4 in terms of attendance, with the ground pretty much full for local derbies and big European games that would be success.

Taken from the Wasps forum.

People should visit the wasps forum.

Generally they think we are a dog turd they have put their foot on.

Why we passively out up with this is beyond me.

The 92% figure is not true. This article states 68% in reference to the same game - a game when there was a huge novelty factor and inevitably a large turn out of local curtain-twitchers:

http://www.independent.co.uk/sport/...-silencing-ricoh-critics-for-now-9937952.html

Interestingly it touches on some of the opposition from Wasps fans at the time - but these people seem to have been forgotten. A sad indictment of modern sport.

Doesn't 68% refer to the amount of season tickets - the reason it's not in print is Eastwood said 92% in a cwr interview.

He said a lot if things at the time - including moving to coventry was for their existing season ticket holders as he'd done a drive time analysis which suggested most could get to the Ricoh quicker.

I just cannot belief that the Higgs would even think abounding something that would distress anything to do with CCFC or any other business interest of SISU or their group of companies. It's not like they ever tried to have a charities pants down or anything like that is it?

As opposed to wasps who achieved pulling their pants down?

STW have a box as a handshake for site purchase. Been used all year.
Having at look at the site boundary though at Whitley pumping station, it's not a lot of land that looks to be ex-STW / now Wasps. I can't remember when installing meters on that patch if we had to get permission to put a chamber in for one of the meters closer to the Higgs site (still in the fields adjacent to Higgs).

Is this the old water works where the football pitches are? If so, then in winter, they'll have the pool as well there.. used to flood regularly.. :)

Its a disgrace, if you scroll through there's loads of deleted comments which are followed by people getting ccalled sisu lovers, sisu stooges, sisu jihadis, that you know that the deleted comments much have been in some kind of opposition to wasps/CSF, etc

I can't belibe they would delete those but keep the blatent abusive name calling and inciteful and frankly bullying messages that the likes of GaryWoollaston, etc use.

To tell you the truth we are sick of your negativity about our football club.
How a supposed supporter of a club that gets 3000 max tries to encourage people not going to watch home games of his club is completely insane.
You go and watch your rugby side, though I have huge doubts that you even go yourself, so please stick to your own site you are becoming tiresome

Nick. So this covrugby bloke is posting through different servers around the world.
I'm not computer savvy but you get what I'm asking.

Yes, the other day he was using a server in Ireland and when called on it said he was on holiday there. Then he slipped up and connected to Panama, then Kyrgyzstan.

ie. Trying to be sly.

What does that mean? Sorry not computer savvy. Can you connect deliberately to other places then. If so and its obvious can we ban these idiots?

I have a vested interest in our academy, my grandson has just signed for them. There is a bit of a new regime there new head of recruitment, Scott somebody and a new head of development his name is Jackson, I think that's his Christian name, has a twin doing same at Southampton I believe. Now I ask this would the likes of these have joined if there was a real threat to our academy or its status, I suggest not. We only know what we are allowed to know and I'm hopeful things will pan out, we have a year.

You need to read The Nowhere Men by Michael Calvin (Author)to appreciate the competition for jobs in professional football.

Yeah, its like a closed shop, plus who's woildnt want to work for a top 10 academy and get that on your CV, even if its only for 1-2 years. People take up short term contracts all the time in the real world.
