It seems that reading all of the information available to us now the CCFC is being left to sink or swim by those such as the Council, Coventry Sports Foundation and all of the others with a finger in the pie.
I do not want to get into another 'he said, she said, they said' discussion as those are just pointless and achieve nothing.
It would appear that the BPS stadium set-up is dead in the water, if it was ever alive that is, so surely now is the time to take that great leap forward to move CCFC onwards and upwards. Mr Fisher said during the BPA debate that the Club had identified a site 'B' just outside of the city boundary so, in my opinion, now is the time to get moving on building the new stadium. It's not something that I would have supported in the past but now I cannot see any other solution to keeping OUR club alive. I also believe that it is the one thing that would unite the majority of the waverers out there to get involved once more and give all of use some hope for the future.
I would be interested to see what the rest of you think but please do not turn this into another SISU/Council/Wasps tirade.

Well apparently Sisu are not going anywhere soon, so don't expect a new stadium anytime soon either.

Sisu are coming to a road block. Two years time we will have no ground etc and they know it. We have no money only season ticket revenue and that's what is keeping the club alive. I'm done with all the bull about new ground etc it's never going to happen. Make the most of the next season as unless a major investor pushes Sisu out we are doomed. Not a light hearted thing to say but in my honest opinion we are shafted. Can honestly see them pulling the plug out of spite to CCC and Higgs et all.

I'm sure Billy Bragg could change the words to suit our plight.

Completely and totally agree.

Think it comes down to two choices.

1. We either work with Wasps (not through choice but out of necessity)

Or

2. We have to cross our fingers and hope Sisu pack their bags and some rich idiot (like me winning the Euro Millions) will step in and save the club.

Third choice of course is for the club to go off and ground share again, tens and tens of miles away, playing back in front of 1,500 people. That would deliver a devastating blow to this football club and kill off thousands of fans in the process too.

Sisu wanted the Ricoh. They will not be building a new stadium. Think in our hearts we all pretty much know that to be true.

we cant, as we cant all agree. Either we pack the stadium week in week out or we don't go at all, or we all go to wasps, or we encourage everyone not to go to wasps, etc etc.

We really do need one fan strategy and encourage all fans to stick to it, but I just cant see that happening, despite the best efforts of many

Thanks for the replies. I have never really believed that the 'new stadium' would be built if left to Sisu's devices because, in their eyes, there were always cheaper options. However those options have now disappeared, even the possibility of recompense through their legal actions must now be a fading hope. I also feel that they must see that their 'laissez faire' attitude will not give them any return on their 'investment' in the club. As I see it their only hope of recovering any cash is to build a business that would appeal to other potential buyers and that means creating an asset base that is attractive to others. Part of this would be to build the new stadium etc and then get rid of the pesky nuisance that is CCFC. The other part, of course, is success on the pitch.
So my reasoning is; lets get behind their drive for a new stadium, encourage it and work with them to get it up and running that way we will either get our new stadium and hopefully new owners or it will prove to those that matter, the Football League, once and for all, that these are not responsible owners and should they be got rid off.
I know that that finally action would probably see us back in administration but I'm now beginning to believe that could be the best solution.

Just pack the stadium and hope TM can help by giving us a team that will win the league and get all the fans back.

United we stand divided we fall, we need a leader to unite the fans a Jimmy Hill but sadly can't see anyone one who can take on SISU and the council to sort this mess out. I really fear for future of my sky blues. :(

It has to be the trust, surely ?

I would support any statement they gave in terms of what the fans should do to save the club.

If they said pack the stadium, I would go, if they said don't go, I wouldn't, if they said go to a wasps game and protest I would.

We need everyone to follow one strategy.

Personally I would go with this, and Nick seems to agree, but Grendal wants us to pack out a wasps game and others want us to boycott.

Why was that an insult as some posters on here would say that is a fact. You've done nothing you've tried nothing and you'll end up with nothing. Hears a thought we tried and failed the first time because people couldn't be bothered,perhaps when we start again you might want to get involved and this does not just apply to SISU.

If you've ever bothered to read my post you will see I don't just blame SISU.

The Council, the Higgs Charity, ACL, Wasps, and yes some fans are all to blame for this Nightmare .

You say people couldn't be bothered well I'm not not one of them, season ticket holder and a supporter all my life. So ill take no Lectures from you, but I do agree with you on one thing the People of Coventry could do alot more in the fight to save the Sky Blues because when SISU have finished, the City of Coventry will not have a Professional football team !!!

Been s supporter all these years and now want to do something about it? Why don't you then even a one man stand is better than nothing you never know others might join you oh and by the way you're on the wrong site if you don't like being lectured that's a pre requisite

When we were at Northampton there were a number of protests including visual ones at their headquarters in London, sisu didn't like it, especially the negative publicity, remember the reactions everytime sisu out banners appeared in the stands, bad publicity is not good for their business. As fans there is little we can do other than visual protest and try to get sisu as much bad publicity as possible. The longer this lot remain the nearer we become to being history.
