Yeah, Reid does that for sure. But he hasn't got editorial control of comments on his Observer articles, most of them attack his bias. :D

He just demonstrates a total inability to debate. Agree with him you get a Retweet - disagree with him and you get blocked!

I also think it's odd that his Twitter profile still makes reference to his former but not current employer, plus makes reference to awards from two/three years ago.

I might edit my profile and highlight that I passed the Cycling Proficiency test ;)

I'm not sure on a person-to-person basis, but the comments indicate it's because people have challenged his position.

The Twitter account details are there for it to be cross-referenced.

However, he blocked me (@armybike) for questioning his comments/statements.

He's confirmed he blocked me and makes no reference to abuse towards him being the reason -

Hardly surprising given your twitter love in with Gilbert and the councillors you follow.

I failed mine so I will block cycling proficiency on Twitter I think. ;)

I meant the "real" bit, quite obviously.

Maybe he could ask the fans on here himself, he has an account?

No is wasn't quite obvious - if you want to get a point across why not just actually make the point rather than adding "..." at the end of the post?

However, as the Twitter account profile states -

"Sky Blues Talk–
@skybluestalk
Coventry City Forum. Views of real life Coventry City fans. Stay up to date with the latest city gossip!"

I assume you wrote the profile? Why did you feel the need to make reference to real life fans? What other sort are there?

God knows, it was setup years ago so isnt any sort of dig

Amazing how you can speak for Simon, thanks!

There are quite a few sorts.

No it wasn't.

But you decided to include real in the profile.

I'm not speaking for Simon, you've asked a question which wasn't directed specifically at anyone and I've answered. You are aware that's how forums work right?

Such as?

The ones who aren't actually city fans but pretend to be to try and sway others to think something. They aren't real life city fans.

It was created years ago, before any of the mess so like I said wasn't a dig at anybody. Can't even remember typing that.

Well you did type it and are now questioning someone making reference to a term you decided to use.

Just thought it was a bit strange, I will edit it now.

Especially as you knew straight away what he meant, must have been amongst the batch of tweets he deleted I must have missed.

He also referenced arent against the club, no mention of that?

Stop with the ridiculous tinfoil hat conspiracy theories!

You've decided to use the term real in the the SBT Twitter profile which I'd noticed previously and when you clarified that was your issue pointed it out.

The fact you'd forgotten it was there and I recalled you having uses the term has nothing to do with it being highlighted elsewhere.

It still doesn't explain the not against the club stuff, quite random really that he thought of the site when he was having his little rants and making his polls.

Simon's starting to stray into Les Reid territory. Started off hailed by the fans, took some criticism and then starts blocking people and making sarcastic comments on twitter. Hopefully he won't be on gardening leave soon!

Well i guessed this was the big book reveal was quite a few days early. Sorry for spoiling it Simon :)

But i guess what fans CCFC fans really want to see is someone sticking up for CCFC fans for a change. (Us downtrodden ones who make as many games as we can)

We get kicked in the balls by SISU/WASPS/CCC and now the stupid CFS has stepped up to kick us in the nuts!

We feel like we are fighting a constant battle, and on one side is CCC/ WASPS and now this Coventry Sports foundation that's coming up with ridiculous shite like "Coventry City of Rugby"

Maybe a way to get us loyal fans, that only want to see CCFC do well would to jump on this "Coventry City Of Rugby" Bollocks and say no! The CT should quash this big time.
This is a proud city of FOOTBALL heritage going back years, Highfield Road, Jimmy Hill, 1987, The Ricoh home of CCFC is not having Rugby tossers playing a non so clever game of PR.

Coventry is a City of Football and that's how it should stay, We shalt be beaten we'll fight til the game is won as the song goes.

If Wasps want to try and win hearts and minds of kids that have no heart and desire then fine. Let them follow a franchise. They will regret it in the long run.

Our day in the sun will come, i have no doubt, but it will look very hypocritical if local media is all over it. Think of the here and now, we have a battle on our hands.

Time to pick sides. The Ricoh/Higgs current goings on tells us this. Recent events has made me see this "friendly" London Rugby club that came in to "help" everyone is not looking very helpful to me and is stepping on CCFC and CRFC.

Sorry for the rant and going slightly off topic but our local media should remember its roots and see when we are being shat on, and by this i mean CCFC fans no one else!
