That is a strange move for him, I would have thought he would have ended up at a team that will finish higher up the league anything above bottom for them would shock me unless they bring in a few.

There is an awful lot to be said for momentum. It's a sensible signing by Clough, they are already steady at the back and have now signed a great centre half at that level, assuming he stays fit.

There is but when it ends it hard to get started again just ask Yeovil, my view which is worth nothing just look at the prediction league is that they won't score enough to survive.

You know your place in the world when we are 'apparently' beaten to a signing by Burton Albion. Think he could be prone to more injury trouble though.

He's a great player but I'm not too fussed, his injury record would have made him a big risk.

How do you know we even bid for him. To injury prone unfortunately and to high wages.

Good luck to him but too much of an injury risk, we cannot afford passengers this season.

A part of me is disappointed that we've not got his signature to lead our back line but he carries a risk with his playing record over the last few years.
Surprised he's only took a 1 year deal at a relatively small club at that level rather than a 2 year deal somewhere else.

If he was anywhere near being a fully fit functioning footballer, we wouldn't even be having this conversation. Same, but move on.

Come on, of course we bid for him. He was a mountain with us and Cardiff fans are sad he left them. I'm shocked he has gone to Burton but the way they play will suit him. TM said how much he liked him so that's one of the five, he's been looking at, rejecting us.

On another note, and I aim this at CCFC fans, Burton came throough the non-league system and although they have a small town and small support they are acheiving things we could only dream of. Our biggest problem is we always look from the top, because that is where we are from, while teams like Burton look from the bottom. A lot can be said for that.

Put it another way then,
You know your place in the world when "Burton" are in the league above ya.

Bournemouth are above many teams who'd consider themselves higher pedigree.

So what - it's a pointless and futile discussion.
