Newcastle just signed Gayle, pushing Arma down the pecking order even further.

Surely a loan to a non-rival team (Championship) is on the cards for him if Benitez don't fancy him?
Fingers crossed its a move to us rather than the SPL.

Good thing is he was looked after here and he knows us
Wonder how much of a say a player gets. If he did get told by the manager he was looking to send him out on loan again and he said he wanted to come back here would it influence things?

Think he is at the stage where perhaps unlike last year Newcastle will want a loan fee, that would rule us out.

If I was a AA and therefore didn't support Coventry I wouldn't want to go back on loan to the same place. I'd want to try a different city, different environment, meet different people etc. I think very slim chance we'll get him back even if he has an influence

I'd have thought he would want to try a loan in the Championship this season to progress his career.

Maybe true. But he is a fans favourite at city has the backing of Mowbray, and knows Mowbray to some extent builds the team and tactics around him.

Let's face it he has that X factor league one. He's worth his weight in gold.

Sordell (as and when it's confirmed) would make a frightening partnership with Arma.

He is still a young boy and his parents might want him to come back to somewhere he knows, I can't see the point on loaning him to a Preston where the football is horrible and they don't create many chances.

Richard Duffy came back 4 times. Anythings possible :D

Part of me wonders though; would he get away with so long a dry spell a second time? We'd definately need a better plan B for that eventuality

Marvin Sordell (when the website works)

Can't see why they can't use both of these players. Both would be assets to any club in the championship
Agreed.
I can imagine Benitez would wanna take a look at Arma in training/friendlies first before deciding what to do with him.

I would imagine, if his desired club met with his clubs preferred destination he would
carry some influence, if it didn't I doubt he'd have any influence at all.

Well, thats Cisse gone, looking more likely Arma will stay.

Benitez will have seen how is in training by now, so knows how good he is.

Would be nice to see armo back but to be fair he is too good for div 1 so therefore i could not see them loaning him out to a club in their division as they (Newcastle) would be comitting suicide.Stay and fight for your place would be my motto.
