Very Happy with Tudguy chronically under used last season.....maybe TM will use him more this season
can see him and Sordell being a good front two tbh in this league!

Thread bare squad! All hands to the pumps, think this season we are going to struggle.Cant rebuild a team every season and expect success. These 2 are as much as we can expect under the current circumstances.

Thread bare squad? We're at the start of July you moron.[/QUO

So we have a full team do we ? What a plonker you are ,what a waste of a post , or are you just here to cause offence?

We don't have a full squad, but then we've still got a month until we need one. This time last year we had only signed Ricketts and Stokes.

The Sky Blues boss wants a senior squad of 22 outfield players and currently only has 12 ahead of the club’s first pre-season friendly at Nuneaton Town on Saturday.

The squad will be supplemented by development players throughout the warm-up fixtures, including the likes of centre-half Cian Harries, striker George Thomas, midfielders Ben Stevenson and Ivor Lawton, versatile twins Dion and Devon Kelly-Evans and forwards Kyle Spence and Bilal Sayoud, some of whom may well step up to be included in his final 22 if they impress.

But Mowbray, who is working hard to convince his targets to join City, clearly needs more men in the building.

“It’s a bit of a grey area but I’m looking for a squad of 22, maybe 24 if you include the goalies,” said the 52-year-old, who has gaping holes in the centre of defence.

“How many more do I need? I’m filling some key holes at the moment and not really looking at the numbers.

“I look at my board and I think I definitely need someone in that position, definitely need two in that position and another one there.

“I need those senior players, more what I call front line footballers who I expect to play a part in the team immediately, maybe five, six, seven, so we’re still building it.”

Not sure why you expect the end of the world when this time last year we were actually in a worse position. Mowbray has stated that he hopes for at least 6 new signings? We've still got a substantial chunk of the budget left to fill and in the signings of Jodi Jones, Marvin Sordell, Kwame Thomas and the return of Tudgay and Ricketts (hopefully) there has been some steady transfer activity already. Like previously stated this time last year we had only signed one and re-signed another so why panic?

Why do you need a full squad now? Most sides at our level have no players. If it's the start of August and we still have 12 players then by all means, moan. But not now.

I'm not concerned by the size of the squad yet, players have only been out of work a week so they will soon decide there future quickly and things will take shape.
If in a months time we still have the same defensive players as now then I'll be concerned, until then.... Keep the faith.

Sam and Marcus weren't good enough last year so no reason to believe they will suddenly improve this year. It's looking like a long struggle next season ATM.

There's only one Marcus in my heart.

The squad needs some stability even if better players could be out there. It seems eminently sensible that Tugay & Ricketts have signed up for this season.

I just hope TM doesn't make the blunder of signing Reda again.

Quite happy with Ricketts. He went to pot in the second half of the season but then so did nearly everyone, I liked how he started the season in the centre.

Been said loads before but two good pros who will play their part but I don't anticipate it being a big part. More games this season than ever before makes sense to get them in. Ricketts was one of our best players first half of the season and Tudgay chipped in when called upon. You really have to be a downbeat person to turn this into a negative.

Mogga has said today his wage demands are far too high for someone who hardly play a full season , so no deal to be done. He's here to get fit and then move on.
