'We all want Coventry City to continue playing at Ricoh' (35 Viewers)

The negativity is of posters having a go at other posters over it.

In the world of Coventry City, non bad news is considered good news.

Some were seemingly miffed and annoyed that others were happy about this statement.

It's not bad news, so it is good news and like I say, how long have we got primacy for? What if it was just for the initial two years, before the option of the further two?

There is no meat on the bones.

It isn't news at all, that's the thing.

Our fixtures have already been released, yes the odd one can be adjusted but they aren't going to go through and change loads to sundays.

The fact you are trying your best to make out people should be happy about it, when it's not actual news. The way other people have said how nice wasps are for doing it just shows the article is doing its job.

FFS, is it good for us or not?

This decision is for wasps benefit not ccfcs, I'm not sure why the headline and focus of the article is aimed at ccfc. More wasps PR, well done CT.

Stupot is a very good poster (one of my favourites on here), so sorry for tagging this one, but this just happened to be the first.

This could be seen as negative. The news (on non news) was good for Coventry City.

As Brylowes states 'Is it good for us or not?' Doesn't matter if it is a continuation. I am sure an awful lot of us would be expecting bad news.

Can't just keep saying 'we have primacy' when we have no idea how long for.

I'm pretty sure there won't be a copy of the contract floating about so not sure why you keep demanding stuff like that.

It's a non story.

Because he desperate for his insect buddies to look the good guys.

He was pointing out the spin wasn't he? He had an issue with them trying to make out they were doing it for ccfc when they aren't.

The fact you are trying to argue and disprove any primacy stuff so much just looks like you want it to be wasps doing something good.

Again, the article is doing its job. It isn't news, good or bad. It's just spin to try and make wasps look good.

Just don't get the negativity.

We all know it is spin. What is the problem? People are just happy there was no bad news. :)

Demanding? Good spin there.

People have stated the terms of the agreement from when we moved back to the Ricoh say we get priority, yet nobody is able to demonstrate this.

You've offered a link with a comment from Wasps making reference to the point, but surely it's just more PR/spin?

The fact you deem it a non-story doesn't automatically make that a fact.

However, you keep up the PRnoid (but obviously only when it suits though huh!)

No-one are the good guys in this.

You seem very keen to disprove anything about primacy of the ground, then add that to the fact that even without that it's better for wasps on a Sunday. Then you kept going on about them trying to destroy us as if this means they are helping us.

The issue people have had is with the spin and the way the article is just to make wasps look good again.

It wasn't relevant for CCFC either way, might as well have posted any random news article from the web and said great, no bad news.

You don't seem to want to accept that it's just wasps playing media games unless you have a copy of the contract or something.

There's an article within the council website also, it's been said across multiple outlets from the time they moved.

Pr noid, yes of course this wasps article is not pr and I'm just being paranoid.

The fact you don't deem it as pr is a bit worrying. Surely that's obvious to anybody?

Your first post on this subject suggested if wasn't spin but evidence wasps want the club at the Ricoh.

Agree with that last part totally.

I am not trying to argue anything. All I am saying is that I don't believe anything, so even the primacy thing concerns me and I don't think we can put too much stock on that.

Of course I want Wasps to do something good. Rather they just pissed off, but while they are here I do want them to help Coventry City and Cov Rugby as much as possible.

Just wish fulfillment though. Doesn't mean I believe it will happen.

You're going to have to point out where I've said that.

You're going to have to point out where I've said that.
You're going to have to stop trying to play the whole "I didn't say those exact words" game because it is boring.

The amount of different posters on here you have tried it with is laughable.

Yep, get all that. Just happy a story came out that wasn't negative.

It was merely a reaffirmation of what we pretty much already know.

Just think a lot of us keep expecting bad news.

Cheers for that, Nick. It is just one line though.

Do we have primacy for as long as we are there? Is it just until our current deal runs out? Are there any clauses in place that change that ruling?

Not sure if this is a fact but I'm pretty sure the FL would insist the football club has primacy when collaborating with the rfu to release the fixtures.

But you don't seem to accept others aren't happy, not about the fact wasps are playing on Sundays but the way the whole article is a spun pr piece.

To YOUR thinking.

I have never believed it to be evidence at all.

And I have never ever said I believe Wasps want us here.

I have always said that if it suits them then they are happy for us to stay. I don't think for a single minute that they want us here.

Not going to argue with you. All I can say is what I have just told you is my honest stance.

Pointless though, because you have made you mind up (even though your perception is wrong) and now you will just argue the toss for eleventy billion pages and also throw in the odd insult here and there.

Life is too short to be arguing with blinkered people on the internet. :)

You knock yourself out though.

Oh and my first post was I am very happy to be playing where we want.

Where is there any evidence there that I say Wasps want us at the club?

That is simply me saying I am happy we are still where we are.

Nick, this topic may have been started with regards the football but like most threads on here, its turned into yet another bitter Wasps/CCFC/Ricoh rant. Shouldn't it be moved to that sub-form ?

Yep, going to make a button that moves them easily when I get chance. Especially when the football starts a bit more

Would like to know that for certain. The difficulty here obviously is it is Wasps stadium and not ours.

Won't the FL just say 'You're have had more than enough time to secure your own stadium and not a single plan or brick is in place?'

Also, what gives you the grounds to decide how I can/can't post and interact here?

I accept that for sure. I just don't understand the negativity on the matter. We all knew it was spin didn't we?

Think we are going round in circles, Nick. :)

Standard reply. Just a shame it wasn't "you don't know what I'm thinking" because you said the sky looks blue and not actually the sky is blue and want to argue about the difference in wording.

I went into another thread and you are doing the same with ajccfc.

Boring.

Yep. Totally.

I will not bite. Life is too short and I am a happy type of person, so arguing with someone so entrenched in his views and and someone so argumentative isn't going to do any good at all.

Said my piece, time to move on.

How many signatures now, Steve?

Play your own game, I said it was boring not that you can, can't.

You are trying it on different threads at the same time.

The fact you are saying somebody is paranoid for reading that article as spin / pr is enough for a giggle anyway.
