Forgive me if I'm being stupid or if this has already been answered.

Trying to buy tickets online for the Swindon game, how do you select what row you want to be in yourself? Only option that is coming up is best available and it's giving me tickets for row A

I was on about this yesterday on another
thread, apparently you won't be able to choose row or seats for away games as the ticket website can't put the seating plans up for the away games, pretty crap. You will only get to know the row and seat number when you go to checkout, I kept doing that yesterday then delete them try again until I got a higher row.

Seems a terrible system for purchasing tickets! Doesn't even tell you what block it's in either so could be sat anywhere

Preferred our own system last season, personally didn't have any problems getting tickets and we didn't get charged an extra pound for the right to do so.

Have got two senior concession season tickets my brother is away for the month of August so I contacted the club to upgrade the season ticket as I could not do it online. They eventually replied and told be that they can't upgrade tickets so the best thing is to buy a ticket in another part of the ground and then use my brothers seat! Very good so I pay £23 for the additional ticket and write off the £14? already paid for that seat. Does that make any sense, sorry but the new system is poor or the management is clueless! For years I have been able to upgrade the ticket and of course this brought extra income to the club. Any suggestions?

It doesn't matter at Swindon fella , as soon as you walk in , the stewards point you to where they want you to sit . they totally ignore the fact you've chosen certain seats/blocks .

Crazy effing system. Swindon tickets only available for ST holders...I'm waiting for Match Day Packages to be available...WHEN?!...so it seems as things are I won't be able to buy tickets for this game, or any other for that matter...what kind of set up is this!! Don't they want fans to buy tickets online!! Just checked again and there are no games available to book unless you're an ST holder...or am I being incredibly stupid, blinded by my anger???!!

I bought my shrewsbury tickets for the 13th and what struck me was how expensive it was. Really is expensive to watch league 1 football these days. Too rich for my blood tbh. I will have to pick and chose my games. Not really having a go just commentating how expensive it is.

Haven't tried for away games yet. Although reading on here it doesn't sound easy.

Can you still buy away and home tickets from the butts or is it all online now?

£20 for Tamworth v Curzon Ashton or £23 for CCFC v Shrewsbury

Doesn't make either look great IMO. £20 for Tamworth is a rip off. I've never said that about Cov prices. I went to the moors last year in the same league as Tamworth and paid £10 so doesn't make Tamworth look good and doesn't justify covs prices.

For the record I'm not having a go at Cov directly but £23 and £27 if you want half way line is not great value for money. It's the price of football generally I don't like.

Just occurred to that I haven't received the set of season tickets that I ordered back in late May/early June. Anybody else got theirs?

Gates will almost certainly be down this season, probably by quite a lot. Last season we had a combination of cheap pricing and a flying start in the league. Can't see us averaging 12,000 again.

That said, even with gates down, gate receipts might go up. The club have obviously decided that they'd rather have less people watching and make a bit more money. Some people are comfortable with that, but I'm not sure its a good move. Time will tell.

And this is why I haven't blamed the ccfc directly. I can see what they are trying to do. People who are going are going regardless and will pay whatever really. And if we are top of the league again how many people are going to not pay £23 not to go and watch? Not many.

So yea I agree. Possibly smaller crowds but bigger profits. But I repeat of Cov are doing well and top end of the league then people will still pay those prices.

Or buy a Season Ticket then. They are always available to Season Ticket holders first at every game for every club in Britain. Sorry it doesnt suit you.

I live in London, my work schedule changes from day to day so I never know if I can get to a game till a few days before, which would make a ST a crazy investment. Exactly why I do the 'package' thing which does suit me perfectly! But thanks for the response...

Yes, you can still buy in person at the Butts.
