Have I missed an academy update? (2 Viewers)

I would have gone, and just said nothing gets talked about until it is in writing or a copy is handed over to take away with me.

That way nothing gets spun or twisted.

You honestly think that would be a reasonable approach for something you're desperate to save?

Going to an initial meeting and throwing out specific demands as your opening gambit.

Great way to build bridges that.

However, at least you'd have got though the door - something Anderson couldn't be arsed to do.

Maybe I am just a bit cynical of having a PR / Media job done on me, I'd be wondering why they were so against putting something so simple down in an email while they keep reeling off the PR statements about the door being open every so often to keep the rage against me up. I'd probably know that whatever was said there would be twisted somehow, have a look at how far off the mark CJ seemed to be about what happened. The stories went from the academy can be saved and WILL work at Higgs to, the FA Would use discretion but no guarantees.

I'd find it really strange that the other side were so against just writing down what they are physically able to do when the agreement expires to get talks going. Especially after they came out in the media and said that it probably wouldn't be possible when it first came out about Wasps.

Surely, if the door was so open as they keep telling the newspapers then they would have replied to me writing to them and requesting bits of info.

You have had a media/pr job done on you. CA seems to have convinced you that the academy is everyone else's responsibility and he's exonerated from blame because he didn't get a reply to a letter on things that were to be discussed at a meeting he wouldn't attend.

The rest of us can see it for what it really is.

The strangest thing of all of this is Anderson refusing to engage.

You've said repeatedly that you don't get why the other side don't put it down in writing and have somehow spun this into some bizarre conspiracy theory.

If I'd agreed to attend a meeting and one of the parties didn't show I wouldn't be rushing to meet their demands.

Anderson refused to go to the meeting - that is the main issue as it's only CCFC who stand to lose here.

It's was initial meeting - if he'd got there and they're dicks then you don't proceed.

I'm sure you'll be of the opinion that 'the other side would just spin in'.

Anderson has scored a massive own goal - there's no need to spin that.

You seem to have this rigid perception of the situation - he said, they said, we said - if people aren't willing to be fluid or believe other can then you'll never get anything sorted.

The vast majority of replies to this thread believe Anderson should have gone to the meeting with an open mind - he didn't and the Academy situation remains going no where.

It isn't a bizarre conspiracy theory is it? There must be a reason why Wasps / CSF are so keen not to put things in writing and have been for a while. The same as there is a reason why Anderson won't meet face to face without things in writing and they are more than likely related.

Yes it is.

Must be the same as when I said I could tell something bad was going to come out because of the way posters were posting and the way things were swaying on here and in the media. Then from nowhere the academy stuff came out originally...

It is obvious there is more to it. There is a reason why CA wants everything written down, and there is a reason why Wasps / CSF won't write it down.

Put your crystal ball down and have a word with yourself.

It's not obvious - it's just something you've progressively conceived yourself of as this thread as developed which absolutely nothing at all to back up or support your opinion.

Do you think he just thought "ah I cant be bothered to go today" and won't meet them without it being in writing? If he is just using that as an excuse to not progress, don't you think that CSF and Wasps would have gone to town on it and written down what they can offer? They then have a perfectly good offer there written down that would be left with no action. What is stopping them from doing things in writing?

They probably don't need to the way people treat their PR like they are at a Bukkakke party anyway.

,They can't offer what was there before, there needs to be compromise on all sides, if
they put available times etc in writing send it to CA, he just says it isn't possible to run
the academy on what's being offered.
And then it's look everyone we tried, but their all against us, we are left with no choice
but to start making plans to close the academy

Ha, yes I must be imagining it all!

You're making a link that has absolutely no basis.

You're presenting your opinion as fact.

As I said - you're the only one stating this, if it had substance why hasn't Anderson used it to support his decision in the statement?

I am not presenting it as fact, I made it clear it is my opinion.

Why haven't Wasps / CSF written everything down to support how much their door is open? Rather than just giving the Trust words to say.

I think it is safe to say there is a little bit more behind the scenes we dont know about isnt it? Surely you could understand that? That has to be 99.9% fact.

I'm the only one stating what, that it's all a massive PR stunt? Do you think even if Anderson said anything anybody would believe him? Wasps / CSF would just put out a statement that doesn't really say much just "its sisu" and back to square 1.

Just because you believe something doesn't make it fact.

It is a fact there is a reason why he wont meet them without it being in writing, and why they wont write it down. I am not claiming to know the reason, but it is fact.

I think you might be being a bit naive if you don't think there is more to the whole "wont meet" and "wont write things down". Whether it is Joy telling him not to do stuff or whatever, I very much doubt he just thinks he cant be arsed that day so isnt going to meet them.

Probably why you think people are paranoid for putting things down to PR, and probably wouldn't believe that people have signed up on here to try and use it to influence people / start rumours. When to others it is blatant.

Who is the customer in this proposed relationship?
Correct who is the customer?
Does the customer not find out what his needs are and then go out and get them?

TBF the customer usually knows what he requires and not leave it to others to get him this information.

But seriously all this bullshit about emails and letters is a joke, and for people to buy and even defend this is just farcical.
They need to Fucking grow up go get what they need, or do they just let it die and blame everyone else for your incompetence.
These are supposed to be educated people in any other walk of life you would get sacked for such gross incompetence.
Sorry I let it all go pear-shaped because they wouldn't email me......

Did you ask Wasps / CSF why they are so adamant on not putting anything in writing? (by you I mean Trust / people who met with them?)

What do you think is going on? Do you think CCFC want to just get rid of the academy? IF so, why?

IF he has sent over schedules of what is used and when, isn't that sending over the requirements to ask if they can meet them?

It is like another Haskell situation all over again isn't it?

Because they've got very little cash and what they have got they're spending on some twat that's written a book that agrees to go to a meeting then changes his mind or has it changed. That's me done be back after the season starts

So they want to get rid of the Academy to cut cash? Is that what CA has said?

What would they do? Take it back down to Cat3?

In your opinion, of course.

Nick did you ask CA and co if they had written an email to say this is what we require if that is not available then we have nothing to talk about.
FFS CA himself at the Trusts appearance said "I do not know what is required to run the academy" and he is or co!!!!!
couldn't he have written to the league and asked or just check their web site is it all one way.
So you have never asked any of these questions to any one that counts but you are quick to attack the trust with your petty Haskell snipping.

No, it's not fact - it's your interpretation of the situation.

He's asked for it in writing, they've not provided it, he didn't bother to go to the meeting.

Stop trying to make it something it isn't.

Not buying into your opinion doesn't make me naive, it simply means I don't buy into your opinion.

Again just because you "very much doubt" something isn't basis for demonstrating the point - again it's simply your interpretation.

You can go round in circles all you want, the fact remains I don't agree with you - you've not shown, demonstrated or proven anything.

You've got a feeling in your waters and apparently that's sufficient for you to repeatedly raise the same point.

You've suggested it might be something to do with Joy pulling the strings, but yet again just another one of your opinions.

Anderson has refused to attend a meeting because CSF/Wasps haven't forwarded him a document - potentially they assumed as the meeting had been arranged they could all sit around the table and see what was what.

Your insistence of trying to make it something more than this in reply to nearly all posts this evening is frankly odd - almost PR-like actually.
