As a city fan what were you expecting? Open cheque book? We're a nothing league one club now, yes our owners are shit. They have been from day one. No surprises here.
TM JC and MV are doing the best they can with the resources to hand that they can manage to assemble a team for the campaign ahead. Like at least 20 other league one clubs that are pot less!

Exactly whilst I am mad and more frustrated. 2 points To this.

1. Trust mowbray. Proven track record and a quality manager. He said today trust him so I will.

2. We have sold any player worth any money for as long as I can remember. We are skint. Our owners have no interest in us whatsoever. We would sell the air in the Ricoh if we could. We are pot less.

Tony mowbray and his team performed even after our collapse a miracle last year getting us 8th.

Likewise, disappointed by the sale, but do I understand the reasoning of it, yes. We have to recycle to build. Hopefully by 3pm on the first game of the season we will see the plan, if not then 31st August TM please! Players must already be in place and agreed in principle before a quick sale of a player who gave a lot for most of last season. TM has a plan... I eagerly await. PUSB.

If a sign of our ambition is retaining the services of a 30 year old whose previous career highlights were with the footballing gods of Dagenham and Redbridge and Leyton Orient then I suggest people develop some perspective.

I think it is absolutely fine to be disappointed that Vincelot has gone, but can we at least give the manager time to bring someone else in before we are all a-wailing and gnashing of teeth?

How do we know someone isn't lined up right now and it was just a case of waiting until Vincelot was sold?

Let's at least see what the reaction is to the action.

Could well be the king is dead, long live the king.

Not counting my chickens, but can't we at least wait and see!

I see your point but TM has said himself this sale was his not from above.

I have supported Cov for over 40 years and boy O boy Ive had some disappointing times BUT like the rest of you I am still here...hoping that one day we will see some sort of success, this has probably been the worst times in recent years that I have seen us sink so low but lets hope we have glory years to come and very very soon...watch this space

I as gutted when I heard Vincelot was on his way, as he was one of my favourite City players, but then you just have to give yourself a clear head and believe there must be method to the madness.

Surely the time to moan is if in selling Vincelot now we don't then adequately replace him in time for the season.

But even then you have to think that maybe TM is going in a slightly different direction this time out.

Just think it is too soon for sweeping statements and demanding ST money back.

What happens if someone gets the money back and then next week we replace Vincelot with a better player?

People could well end up with egg on their faces.

TM seems happy with what he is doing, so let's let him manage and see who else comes in.

Can't throw in the towel now before a ball has even been kicked in anger! To me that's daft and just a knee jerk reaction.

This exactly.

Vincelot was one of my favourite players but TM brought him in out of nowhere and if he thinks we can have a better team by moving him on then so be it. We've always sold players and this is no different, the tantrums from grown men are rediculous

Well they are when TM hasn't come out and said 'that's it, no more players joining the club!'

If he said that I could understand a bit more consternation, but he hasn't. As it stands we have players lined up apparently.

The least we can do is to wait and see if these deals actually happen and go through.

Let's see what team we actually have on the 6th August rather than looking what we have got on paper now!

Anyone remember how bad Vincelot was after Christmas, he turned in a number of desperate performances. Mowbray hinted on Friday he wasn't considered first choice any longer in the interview about Gazdhev. Move on, it isn't the end of the world.

It's only getting a 5 figure sum for the players that does my swede in; why so cheap for an experienced better than average midfield player, Bradford are not short of cash

As usual a dose of common sense from you Otis. I think some on here are in danger of developing a permanent limp from severe jerking of their knees.

I no longer get upset about players moving on it happened before the great Jimmy Hill came and made us Sky Blues, transforming us from the Bantams.

During his reign we sold many favourites including the 'Hud' & Terry Bly. So this has been going on for more than 50 years and you have to accept like the vast majority (even in the Premeirship) we're a selling club. That's how you finance deals and change the squad to improve, hopefully.

By the way our owners are no different to most others and the criticism they get on this site is unjustified and I'd add even if and when new owners come along the same people will still be 'moaning and groaning'.

True fans are around for a lifetime while owners, managers & players ALL move on.

In Mowbray I trust!

We have to sell before we buy, I doubt Vincelot leaving was a total surprise to Mowbray and Venus so it's how he's replaced. He is 30 which isn't that old but if he's replaced by a player a few years younger that's OK to me, I liked Vincelot but he's no world beater and to be honest if someone had to go would rather cash in on him than Stokes or RCC for example. I am just waiting though to see who TM is allowed to bring in.

Just read in Matty Ropers Newport match report that TM told supporters that vincelot had had a double your money offer and wanted to leave.
That's fair enough. No point busting the bank for a player who was distinctly average for the 2nd half of last season.

Well yeah, true. If it was out of RCC, Stokes or Vincelot, I would go for Vincelot too.

As has been said here, neither Fleck or Vincelot were particularly quick, maybe we are looking for a bit more pace in the midfield.

No wonder they don't need to make the effort with some fans fuelling them.

We all know our owners are shite but in this particular case I can't see what other option they had if Bradford offered to double his money.

I can't really see what all the fuss is about, one player leaves .. so what?
When Mowbray came here he immediately signed Grant Ward to play along side Fleck because he knew that was a key weakness in the team, and realised the importance of the midfield pairing.
We will have someone better than RV, or better suited to how we want to play, before the season starts, I'm convincelot-ed of that

Suggest you go and support the Villa, if that's how you feel. What's the point of all this negative shit.

i think the club does a very good job of all the negativity around without my input mate,i just say it how it is.
