Wasps chief executive David Armstrong has told the Telegraph the rugby club has halted talks due to the ‘background noise’ of ongoing legal action over the Ricoh Arena by CCFC owners Sisu.
Wasps chief executive David Armstrong has told the Telegraph the rugby club has halted talks due to the ‘background noise’ of ongoing legal action over the Ricoh Arena by CCFC owners Sisu.

When asked the direct question was it a pre-requisite to drop legal action he said it wasn't.

Oddly he also said he hadn't even been aware there was a 17 point plan to discuss.

Anderson said it wasn't the issue that led to the talks breaking down.

If he doesn't get a reply to his letter is he going to give up on the academy or does he plan on persueing a different course of communication? Such as a face to face?

Try not to let him take you off track folks.
Just post your questions for Jan and ignore the diversions
We finally need some answers

There are no diversions. There are two questions to ask and they need to be put in an intelligent and mature manner.

Stupot has put them perfectly in his post.

1. Why do you think Wasps / CSF won't reply in writing?
2. What don't you trust, what are they going to do? What do you think will happen if you met them without things in writing?
3. With no season tickets after a certain date, will the match packages work as an equivalent so people can book x amount of games / remainder of season for a pro rata price?

He said he wasn't aware there were 17 points, but there probably was about that.
Indirectly the talks broke down due to 'background noise' of the legal action.

You have an issue of only taking on board what you want to hear and ignoring that what you don't like.
Similar to Sisu really when it comes to Judges comments.

4. How many Telegraph articles are going to be made from the meeting minutes and given a ground shattering headline that don't relate to the words actually spoken?
5. Are you featured in Simon's new book?

If people want to discuss the court case issue then he should be asked if he stands by his statement that they were not a factor in talks breaking down and have wasps given a timetable for talks to re-start.

Think you are mixing that up with that award winning, investigative journalist at the Coventry Observer!

Ask him the statement made on the transfer of Madison and the reason given was for TM to reinvestment in the squad and to build foundations for the future?

What changed from that statement and will the money raised from the transfer of Sambou to go the same way.

Also if the money isn't going to building foundations what plan is in its place for our future.

All your fishing for arguements and "facts". Really do put a smile on my face

I am sure they do as with the Elliot Ward thread at which you soon did a runner

1) what progress is being made on the academy? What exploration work have you done if the higgs is a no go? (I'd like to know what contingencies they have been pursuing)
Good question. I'd also like to know if they've spoken with Warwick Uni. Their new facility sounds like it could be of use.
3. With no season tickets after a certain date, will the match packages work as an equivalent so people can book x amount of games / remainder of season for a pro rata price?
Would be good to know the thinking behind taking season tickets off sale as well. Can we get an accurate figure on how many we sold last year after the season started.

1) Have you checked your sums this season or will we need to find a multimillionaire pound prospect to survive again?
2) At what point did you decide the money from Madison wouldn't go on improving the club as you stated at the time?
3) Were we ever actually building a stadium? If so, what happened? If not, why no apology for the lie?
4) Will we ever build a stadium?
5) Why do you keep picking fights with essential business partners before scoping out alternatives?
6) What have you done to ensure the club doesn't have to rely on supposedly unreliable partners?
7) When can we expect your inevitable disappearance into the sunset before we start the whole process again?
8) Do you keep the love letters Grendel sends you?

Amusing given that the only reason Sisu are here is because of the institution that you worship.

Kind of ironic is it not?

1. When will the club have a 5-10 year plan that can be shared publicly?
2. How does our playing budget compare to last season?
3. Are the club actively seeking investment from any where else?
4. With regards to the legal stuff, at what point do the owners say 'enough's enough'?
5. Is it worth me putting a tenner on Rory for the US PGA next week?
6. Do you prefer traditionally straight or curly fries?

Which he is. Why does that bother you and your fellow Council drones?

Will you actually post when the season starts out of interest Council Boy?

Will you actually like any City players, Sisu's Prophet.

To be honest I wouldn't expect many answers to questions, never have been in the past. But some of the things I would like to know

- How many meetings have been arranged and missed/cancelled - why?
- If there is no written reply from CSF what is the alternative solution, given CA's stance of no talks till they get one
- Do CCFC believe that there could be a compromise solution (say using 2 sites)
- Is there a plan to reorganise the Academy, lose Cat2 and base player development around all, one or some of the U21, U18 and development squads
- when is the Cat 2 Audit
- is the Academy grant paid in arrears or in advance
