Sisu told him he had to,
The only ambition we have is to stay in League One
He cannot get any of his targets without paying a fee, albeit a very small fee so he has to sell and average player in order to bring in about 6 others or start the season without enough players to fulfil Sisu ambition (see above)
'Fans favourite' to Sisu means; could attract a fee
We now have a following of hard core fans that have proven to Sisu that no matter what they do,who they sell (or give away)however many promises they break ,how much tickets go up in price, wherever we play they will turn up so long as we have a new kit and some signings who swear they could have gone to bigger clubs but choose Cov instead........most of them are on here and will be reading this and will be preparing some more spin which they may or may not share with us...

Spin this...last season we had a purple patch and TM did without any support (financial or other wise) put together a team (not a squad) that played the best football any of us have ever seen CCFC play. Ultimately falling away drastically and only a few late results against teams playing for nothing gave us a false finishing position....now we go again but without Armstrong,Murphy,Fleck,Vincelot.Maddison.etc etc etc .....and sorry Tony selling Kids to bigger clubs for undisclosed fees is what we expect but Vincelot to BRADFORD for peanuts to enable a squad rebuild 10 days ahead of kick off is b*llocks, and the new heroes you talk about will follow the names out the door as soon as anyone offers ANY fee for them..follow this link to our official site, its content and how out of date it is sum up our Club

I'm still slightly hazy about why the fee was classed as "undisclosed". It's not as though we're in the top 5% financially and have to keep other prying clubs away. Or was it just that low that CCFC feared more fan reprisals if they learned it was too low ?

I think about 95% are nowadays in most of the leagues aren't they?

You see now' this seems to be the general consensus on here, I have no idea on the actual
amount of transfers that are undisclosed,
I'm sure there's still a lot of transfers that I read about with full disclosure of th fees though.

Check the BBC transfer pages. They're virtually all undisclosed!

Doesn't make it right... but they're virtually all undisclosed.

Newspaper reports give an estimate. Now, I used to work with a PR advisor for David Beckham, and he used to claim that newspaper fees were 'leaked' especially high, as it suited the buying club to show ambition, and it suited the selling club to claim their hand was forced by a stupidly high fee.

usually, what's in the paper is rather... exaggerated.

Loads of transfers are undisclosed, people try and make out it is only us.

Some of our fans live in this dreamworld where every other team in League 1 is spending millions and millions and they all treat fans to full rundowns of accounts. It is almost like they have no idea about us being in league 1 and what is generally going on.

Ok fair enough.
As for your last line, that's a given surely.

I don't think they do Nick' it's more the insinuation that we have to sell to buy,
Even after offloading many players on relatively good wages.

We went through this last summerr when LAST basically said it was only us who had undisclosed fees. Look at the BBC website and you'll see the true picture. I know it's not good for the conspiracy theorists amongst us, but hey, can't help that.

Sell to buy, again like most other clubs in Leagues 1 and 2.

Freebies and loans, like most other clubs in Leagues 1 and 2.

Tony Mowbray has explained why he sold the 31 year old journeyman who CCFC only managed to prise away from the all conquering European & world club Champions Leyton Orient last season for a tenner & a box of kippers......

Mowbray was quoted as saying:
"I did it purely to wind up all the fuck nuts & drama queens on SBT.....I do like a good laugh"

Please note: This may not be entirely accurate

I know, but we are doing it with little time to spare and many positions to fill.
It's not really ideal preparation for the season ahead is it, pre season was
all about fitness, formations and familiarity between the players, we never
take advantage of it.

So a few days ago he's one of our best & favourite players, part of the spine of the team,
someone who never shirks responsibility or disappears on the pitch.
But now he's a target for ridicule. Ok then

We did when Thorn went mental and signed loads of players didn't we? The likes of Malaga and Edge.

Last season, we didn't take advantage of it either and that was the best for a long while.

Nick it's hardly good preparation is it, at this rate TM will be introducing the players
to each other in the dressing room at Swindon.

I find the whole TM squad building inconsistent, whether he is in total charge I'm not too sure - the disasters of January Henderson Ramage Hunt, followed by Rose & Jones, & Hungarian which look like decent well planned acquisitions , to now where it all seems so uncertain so close to the season, we could land some great players in the next few weeks and maybe this is how it works for all other clubs in our division but so close to the season ~I would have hoped that the structure of the squad would have been established by now.

All these "undisclosed fees" are bollocks. In what other sphere are limited companies allowed to sell their assets without having to inform their shareholders and publish it in their accounts submitted to Companies House?
It's a fucking scandal, and needs to be looked into by the appropriate regulator.

They do have to put the money coming in into their accounts don't they?

Whatever this is a big blow - he was a guy who put in a shift - hopefully TM can find equally good player for a tenner and a box of kippers but that would be very hard !
