Good point that's tempting fate a bit.
I would bring Spence in and have Jones and Spence
Periodically swapping sides of the pitch

At the moment we don't have a full side that can compete at the "top end of the table". Tonight's team will be full of development team players. We will have more players before the big kick off but it's very odd that we have a pre season again without half the team?

Isn't that a bit Labour intensive? Also will Wasps object to them digging up the turf?

A front three of Lameiras, Jones, and Sordell. Shudder! That's got relegation written all over it. We need a lot more firepower.

And that is what is interesting about football. Nobody expected Ian Wallace or David McGoldrick to come here and start banging in goals immediately. On the other hand Kevin Drinkell and Julian Joachim did seem safe bets. So until they pull the shirt on you just don't know.

Jones has looked class whenever i've seen him. Sordell i haven't seen at all yet in a normal game so not sure why you're shuddering on that. And yeh Lamereiras didn't live up to expectations last year but dont think that was helped by only getting 20 minutes every other saturday.

You were probably one of the people "shuddering" over having Armstrong up front last season. Why is everyone so dramatic

I know Dongo said "Best squad today" but after being hung drawn, and quartered by just about every single one of you on here Ricketts still makes your team. Willis is not a right back(Which is where he played against Newport) He's a far better CB, which proves for me atm 3-4-3 isn't going to work DKE might as well not have been there for all the defending(Or lack of it) that he did. Whatever team TM picks, he needs 4 at the back. Our defence is nowhere near strong enough for 3-4-3

Whatever team people are putting out, take a good look at them all... How many in your 11 would you actually want to play in a campaign aiming for promotion?

The team is not strong enough, no where near.

Sorry to be a boo boy, but I honestly couldn't pick an 11 that I would be happy with starting the season. We need at least 7 good players.

If only mowbray was brave enough to 442.... :(

..not that I'm being archaic, but as Leicester showed you don't have to play fancy systems to be successful and the pace of Reid and Jones crossing into 2 men in the box would score goals.

Tudgay and Sordell, 2 wingers putting in crosses.

Gadzev and McCann in the middle. Not too bad at all.

That way Stokes can be LB, then we just need the rest.
