There is one simple fact I have mentioned loads of times on here but perhaps it doesn't suit your agenda I'll repeat it, there is ample land at the Higgs or just further down on the old Water board site to build our own Acadamy or go hand in glove with the Wasps, but it's obvious sisu have no intention of having an Acadamy, and proberly never have had. let's see how they perform when negotiating a much more serious issue, where
We play our home games 2 years from now.
There isn't enough room, wasps building goes where the skate park and alottments are, their car park is where the netball courts are. The existing carparks are remaining. The land behind wasos building has a stream running through it.

If the old water water board site was so good why did wasps dismiss it?

No talks started when we were still at the Ricoh.

That makes the out flanking worse. SISU happily gave up the clubs Ricoh anchor Tennant status making it so easy for anyone to come in. If what you say is true nobody welcomed them more than SISU. They stepped aside passing them the keys in the process and stayed out the picture just long enough for the deal to be done. Wasn't that nice of them.

I must say this made me laugh...

"Planners state the new facility will be create up to 80 jobs including playing staff and coaches."

As this is only their first team squad and not their academy, a) isn't this more about the relocation of jobs including players and b) aren't they already relocated I.e. at Broad Street, so actually no new jobs, well certainly not 80.....or are they going to pop down the wheatshief to recruit some players, sack the physios and coaches and recruit new ones only from Coventry haha

The council isn't enough??

I don't think Weeman was talking about the council judging by the first part of his post and I am interested to hear who he is on about, that's all. You see when people get called 'Sisu Lover', some on here jump straight in saying there are no such people. I don't think that either exist so I am interested to know who he's on about.

With regard to the council, sadly it was there decision to sell and we have to live with that. All the drama queens on here would have you think that the council employees who were involved in this have actually killed people, when in fact they haven't and there are far more important issues in the world than this. But this is an open forum and it does make for amusing reading at times. However, people have to admit that Wasps being here has increased the profile of Coventry, even if it is only a little bit. Now if that brings in extra revenue into the city, isn't that what politicians want to do?

Wasps saw an opportunity and grabbed it with both hands and now they are capitalising on that but what did people really expect them to do? Before they came along football was pretty stagnant in the city and our owners certainly aren't interested in taking us forward so although I don't agree with what the council have done, looking at it from a whole city point of view, I can understand it.

Talking to CSF? He cancelled the meeting didn't he?
Discussions were held with CSF not too long ago about the idea of using the Academy as part of a long term vision for the centre – e.g., the use of the club’s sports science staff as part of the community benefit mission of the Higgs Centre. The recent and costly renovation of the 3G indoor pitch only made sense under the condition that the football club remain at the Higgs Centre for some time to come.

That's talked Dave (as in past tense) not talking (as in present tense). Not nearly the same thing and not nearly as effective.

Exactly they have no intention of having an Academy. SISU know their race is run. Moving ticketing and parking to third parties. Making noises about transferring the golden share and player registrations in 2 to 3 years.

Isn't moving the parking Wasps?

Who is making noises and transferring things, and where to?

Yes handing your ticketing over to the most renowned ticket provider in the UK is clearly a sign of that.

We have no parking rights anyway.

Clown.

Im convinced sisu will carry on over the next couple of seasons selling players and just replacing with short term contracts and loans. This strips the clubs assets and saves money whilt preparing to cut their losses and leave us without a club or ground. They will walk away. Tm will have gone and we will be heading for oblivion

And the evidence that SISU are serious about moving CCFC forward is? You can call me what you like but SISU are not interested anymore.

How does that work if we are signing players like Jones on 4 years and Reid 2 years, Sordell 1 year with 1 year in clubs favour, Rose 18 months.K Thoma 2 years.

Sometimes the logic behind things doesn't make sense, does it?

Standard Approach.

1. Say things factually incorrect in a rant.
2. Get things pointed out.
3. Rant a bit more with questions totally unrelated

28,000 tossers who turned up for their first match.

Everyone there was a CCFC fan then?

I had family there who aren't CCFC fans and aren't interested in football, who aren't CRFC fans but were interested in seeing that game. But you carry on with pathetic shite like that and making sweeping comments about things and people you don't know anything about. I can call you a prick though for writing shit like that and lots of other posts you write because I can get a general feeling about you.

If we still own Jones in four years it's because he's flopped. I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if he's sold at Xmas. Assuming he can be as good as we all hope he can be .

I get it now.

We moan about short term contracts, we also moan about long term contracts. I see the pattern.

We are in League 1, if he takes the league by storm like Romain Sawyers and others then he would more than likely be wanted by teams in the Championship / Lower End Prem teams. It just means we would get a free rather than him going for nothing like he would if we gave him a 1 year contract (you could moan then)

He will only be sold if the club has lack of funds.

He won't see it out because if armchair lazy fans like you.

I'm not moaning. Just pointing out the obvious.

I'm glad he's on a long contract. Given our inability to get top dollar for our best young talent the fact he's on a four contract should put the price up. A rare piece of good business from the powers that be. But lets not kid ourselves that they done it because he's a player we're going to build a team around long term. He's on a four year contract with one eye on the selling price. Again, assuming he can be as good as we all hope he can be.

I'm not worthy. I'm not a super fan like you.

How many games a season do you have to go to before you're not classed as an armchair supporter by superior supporters such as yourself? Just so I know.

You overlook the point. The club will sell unless more fans commit.

Sheffield United get 20,000 committed supporters every week yet like us have lingered in this league.

It's the reality. You can't complain when your apathy creates the problem.

So how many games do you have to go to before superior fans like you no longer consider those below you to be armchair supporters? A rough number will be OK.

If you don't go to 70% of games a season minimum I don't think you can complain about lack of funding in the club.
