I agree, something strange and major going on behind the scenes.

As i read the bit about Ken being more involved with Andy Thorn, all i could picture was Thorn standing at the side of the pitch during a game, with a small orange Ken on his shoulder, whispering into his ear "ooh, we could sell him in January, and definately him, oh and him!!"

I can just see it now. Thorn gets sacked and Dilieu takes temp charge - 20 game unbeaten run to follow

Please before we read into this that the takeover is on etc etc can we actually wait to see what happens. It could just be exactly what it says it is.

Just another crazy situation our club finds itself in. Neutral fans must think we've started the pantomime season early!

It could be, and probably is. I don't think anybody thinking it may be otherwise is a bad thing though, just sets up more healthy debate doesn't it?

Thanks for all your efforts Mr Dulieu, you will be remembered as one of the great CCFC chairman's. Maybe KD will be involved more in the team to give AT a hand and some experience, isn't that what people wanted? :D

Is it correct that chairmen do not receive a salary under league rules but associated directors can be employed at the club?
It always used to be the case and why Richardson was never chairman but managing director.
I may be wrong.

Keys putting such information in to the public domain is neither helpful to the situation nor meaningful. The other day he said the same offer was still on the table so they can expect the same answer I would have thought. Always did like the sound of his own voice imo.

Didn't KD playing dirty tricks by naming potential investors the other month?

I think fair play to Keys, hes trying to put pressure on SISU. Us the fans ask on here all the time whats going on. Least we know to a certain degree. More pressure on SISU is surely good for our cause.

I'm not necessarily Keys' biggest fan either, but liking the sound of your own voice is par for the course for many broadcasters (just about all I've heard at Talksport) and we know he is a Coventry fan and so probably has his heart in the right place. I think Gary probably think it adds a tiny bit of credence to a takeover purely by elevating it to the awareness of a few non-Coventry fans, but I agree it is highly unlikely have a huge amount of relevance. If it was part of a tidal wave to effect a changing of the board, maybe. I don't know whether it is particularly unhelpful as I would imagine SISU are going to react however SISU deem they will react and the 140 characters penned by a radio presenter carries precisely funk all weight with them. I think it is just another disgruntled Coventry fan sounding off on Twitter.

I hope the boardroom doot didnt hit Dolallys arese too hard on the way out.

If i was cynical I would say its a ploy to avoid the shit sticking to hime when we go into admin, or is KD in some shit re Capcon and is heading for a ban from company directorships.

(For the benfit of legal issues the above may or may not be correct)

my opinion only and my take on things.
The takeover group has insisted that as KD pretty much fucked up the last bid on his own by spouting some names that were involved, they've said we can't work with the twat again.
Huge sums of money are involved so trust must be paramount, and they can't trust KD. I look at this as positive, as it looks like SISU's days are numbered. they have finally realised there is no way out of this mess, and the only way to re-coup any money is to agree to this takeover.
I Once again stae as only my opinion, and every one on here is allowed there opinion, as we all have one thing in common, we support and love the skyblues.

Think both sides are as guilty as each other in terms of dirty tricks CUSW.

All depends if you think the "deal" is (a) possible and (b) the best structure for the club as to whether Keys adds anything at all. I would say the answer is no to both. I do accept that he is entitled to his input and opinion though - but it isnt any more valuable than anyone elses here, just louder because of his fame. Think DiveDive has it about right " I think it is just another disgruntled Coventry fan sounding off on Twitter. "

I also hope any deal GH may be putting forward is somewhat better thought out than the last because the sums involved and the plans as outlined are unlikely to be enough to get Sisu out or as importantly tempt the charity or council to move aside. Some sort of involvement or partnership or other interest in income streams in the Ricoh is essential

And here we are again with a club statement saying we are looking for more "executives" instead of getting more players. SISU OUT

im just saying that whenever a statement comes out apart from getting 1 loan player in they always seem more interested in more board members than the playing side

Football League rules going back to my time (2007) stated involvement in 3 football insolvencies means you cannot be involved in any football club as a director.

Probably why Dulieu has stepped down. One thing for sure it wont have been his or SISU's conscience for the disgusting job they have done.

Good thing though, it's one less immediate sacking for me when my Euromillions comes up!

Godiva put forward a lot of interesting options, but I don't reckon the KD/SISU fall out ideas hold water, he'd be gone if they were not still working together.

I think KD has simply been moved to take charge of transfers and contract negotiations in the window because they are going to sell a few marketable players and replace them with lower league players or loan players AT recommends. KD may well leave the club after a window of frenzied transfer activity, he seems to be some sort of hatchet man, brought in to cut costs & take the flak for doing it, when that job is done they can replace the bad cop with a good cop who can say things are on the up, I hope that isn't that muppet Clarke, I feel ready to shout Clarke out already!

But if they say 'we are looking at getting players in' people dismiss it as bullshit anyway.

My favourite quote:

"To our supporters, I say that right now my time and effort is best spent working with Andy Thorn and his team."

Doesn't he still live in Portugal? How can he not have enough time to be chairman, but does have time to sort out transfers and what not? This is obviously something he has done not for the club but for himself! And i am fucking fuming!!!!!!

Have to say, I am deeply concerned as to what they are up to.

I do not trust them one little bit. They have realised that the income streams are shrinking at a greater rate than their cost savings, ie the net effect of their actions is making the operating losses greater. After the Jan transfer window , there will be little that remains as saleable, to offset the losses. So, despite their wonderful efforts, we will still be unable to operate within the financial FairPlay rules.

I suspect this is associated with the recent formation of the other company, maybe some form of exit strategy that protects their interests, but my pea brain can't complete the puzzle.

Let's not rejoice too much just yet....

How long before Thorn is fired and replaced by the Director of Football Operations. Now there is a nightmare scenario - or will Bell and co who ken gave ludicrous contracts to pay him back with some top notch performances?
I must stop drinking absynth on Friday nights!
