Walsall just broken their transfer record for a striker! Undisclosed so it's not just us.

No you were right. I'm just pointing out that they've spent 300K on a striker who can't even be prolific in the Cypriot league!

Fryatt. Grigg. Deeney. Westcarr. Bradshaw. All had no experience or were rejects before they went on to be our top scorers. We know how to develop young players, particularly strikers.

We also get the most out of players that other clubs fans think are poor signings, and yet people like you still judge.

How are you getting on striker wise, or with new signings in general?

You have a point, but why you on here so much.

Oh, I should have added, that Cypriot forward (more of a winger) was being monitored by Dortmund, Middlesbrough and Everton. Hull had made a recent £500,000 bid, but it broke down when Bruce left.

He joined us as he's good friends with Demetriou who played for us last season, and recommended us to him.

Right first of all. Will Grigg came through your academy and signed scholarship terms. Deeney was scouted as an 18 year old. Matty Fryatt came through your academy. Bradshaw was an up and coming prospect as Shrewsbury. Craig Westcarr has always scored a fair few goals at the particular clubs he's played for. For one none of these player were rejects, they were prodigies and clear talents. You didn't even develop Westcarr so not even sure why you used him in your argument. By using 'we' i can only presume you're a Walsall fan. I must admit clearly you have a knack of developing young strikers but come on paying 300 grand for a striker in Cyrus you don't think thats a bit far fetched which was my original argument. You make it sound like I soiled the entire reputation of Walsall FC. I hope for your clubs bank accounts sake he produces miracles in our league believe me. Pretty average if I'm completely honest but we haven't just spent 300 grand on a first choice striker who's scoring record is worse than our 3rd choice striker so I can't complain

Learn to use paragraphs, and read English.

I said through our youth OR rejects. That applies to all. You only need to read the opinions of Shrewsbury fans and Westcarr's previous clubs fans to know that.

I didn't say your comment soiled our reputation, I said if we spend money, its with good reason. I used those players as examples of how we get the best out of players.

£300,000 (which it's not by the way) will prove to be a snip, when he's sold on at profit in the near future, and we replace him adequately for peanuts.

Time will tell, but our development history, rather than an average Cypriot league history, proves I'm more likely to be right than your judgement on the player.

Considering I'm at university I think my grasp of the English language is fairly up to scratch thank you, unless they're not telling me something and passing me out of sympathy. Google the definition of a paragraph, you need to use them when you deem it appropriate so I could write in one block until the cows come home if I saw fit. A good friend of mine is a Chesterfield fan and was gutted when Westcarr left so I think I already understand his opinion on him, wouldn't go as far as to say he's a reject. Maybe Shrewsbury fans were wrong about Bradshaw, fine thats one player, a complete anomaly that turned out to be a success. Considering how you reacted it certainly seems like I've offended you otherwise you wouldn't have commented on my apparent illiteracy. Forgive me for having an opinion on a player after I've had a brief look at his stats, can't say i've seen him first hand as I've never been to Cyrus so it was all that I had at my disposal unfortunately. All clubs spend money with good reason they don't buy players for the sake of it. You seem in disbelief that he could potentially turn out to be a flop. Believe me Coventry have thrown about money in the past with bringing in acquisitions such as Freddy Eastwood, David Bell and Gary Borrowdale to name a few. Do you think the respective managers that took the decision to buy these players thought they'd just take a gamble and throw money at their parent clubs? We also have a pedigree of developing young players doesn't mean the club can work miracles. Right its not 300K now what fee did you pay then? I've only read articles on BBC Sport so excuse me for not being on the Walsall FC board. More likely to be right? Lets be honest you have no idea how he's going to perform or develop, and neither do I so don't try and claim your club is a conveyer belt of miraculous talent. Your club can do what it likes with its money, I'm just once again saying from the perspective of a fan who's club isn't in the best financial state that paying 300 grand for a player who has performed in a league that is probably the equivalent of non-league and furthermore hasn't even done particularly well is extreme, but thats my opinion. You can comment all you like on the runnings of our club and I won't get offended I don't see why you are?

Perhaps it's just a keyboard deficiency then?

They do say university education is going down the pan. Courses for how to make a cup of tea, and the like. Tut tut.

Give yourself a pat on the back for avoiding unemployment for a further few years.

My talents will be endless. I've just spent 27 grand and I can now make a cup of tea and form coherent sentences. Already got a job lined up but I appreciate the concern. Ideally i'd work in Coventry City's canteen serving tea as its what I've been studying so hard for over the past 3 years but I felt like I needed to branch out rather than play it safe
