“He’s under contract here. I don’t know where that’s come from”

“Unless a phone call is going to come.”

“It’s totally new to me.”

He hasn't rubbished it, just said that he 'doesn't know anything about it'.

I wouldn't say anything is clearer than it was this morning.

It is still strange for the press to report an agent calling a club to "present" them isn't it?

The whole thing seems a bit strange, unless that is just Australians.

Bloody agents more like!

Sounds to me like he just has settled here off the field.

So what happens now? If he hasn't said anything to the club but has told his agent to look for clubs how do we treat him? How does Mowbray deal with it?

He's a bit of a headless chicken, technically very average but a good engine. I don't see any potential in him to get an better.
For all the reasons you suggest I pretty much agree.
However he Is an athlete and a physical presence.
I have to say this Is one player that I've suspected may not be a TM signing from the start,JMO but feel the type of player CA may appreciate.

Be a shame if he left, I think there's a bit of potential in Rose worth persevering with for a while. If true I suspect it is Rose who hasn't ssttled and prefers the sunshine of Oz to the drizzle, frost, fog, wind, snow and ice of dear old Blighty. If that's the case he will basically rip up his contract and walk away so we won't have to pay it up and free his wages for somebody else.

What I don't get is why the day before the season starts?

Why not say at the end of last season?

Drops him I would say.

Mowbray seems the sort of manager whose door is always open and if Rose has any problem at all that should have been the first port of call, not his agent.

We should also endeavour to help him if he does have problems, mind.

Well yeah if it is down to problems / personal issues.

Would still think he would have spoken to Mowbray first.

Firstly wouldn't be too fussed if he left - never saw anything special in him, would rather have kept Vincelot but that is water under the bridge. Secondly it says "presented to" but it doesn't say by whom - was it the club or Roses agent trying to get him a move back to Oz. If its his agent is it at Roses request, because he wants to move home or club has told him to find a new club? Its easy to jump to the conclusion that its simply the club offering to sell but in this case I find it a bit harder to believe that we are so desperate to off load him that we are touting him around Oz - would think it may be he has decided to move home. That's if it is at all true to begin with.
Could be something to do with him getting married just before he joined us remember? Maybe his new bride wants to go home as she's not settling in the UK well

We have the likes of Rose who isn't too keen on staying with us apparently but then footballers get to see such riches elsewhere.......................my mate just sent me a photo outside the King Power, The Leicester City owners have bought a whole fleet of identical blue BMW i8 sports cars for the Premiership winning side !!

Surely he would have seen the riches before he joined? If he wants to leave for money after signing a contract then let him go..

Trying to compare us to Leicester who have billionaire owners already and will have had hundreds of millions added onto that this season is a bit strange!

I wasn't comparing at all, just pointing out a gesture that one proper owner has made. In fact they make different gestures and offers all the time to supporters and players alike............whilst our useless asset stripping cunts have just destroyed the club and fell out with anyone and everyone running the City authorities !

Suppose it frees up some kind of wage
There are one or two youngsters pushing to break through aren't there?

Good turnaround :)

I like how it went from Rose, to Leicester owners buying i8's for the players, to the rant. It is football isn't it, if Rose gets a better offer he might go. Leicester sell their players too....

His wife is currently in the US, has openly said the family have moved to the UK but is currently waiting for her UK visa. Why would he go to OZ other than the link of being born there... I call bullshit paper talk in OZ.

Will be a decent player for us this year I reckon alongside Ghazdev (sp?) in the middle of the park.

The only bit I can find positive is the middle two who I think are a vast improvement over the previous pair

He reminds me of a Sean Flynn type of player. Play in loads of positions, runs and runs, would score some goals, no real talent

From what ive read its Adelaide asking an Agent to find new players ... Not Roses Agent?

What I don't get is, why on earth they would report it in the news paper?

"coventry city have been presented Messi" or just AN other random player.

Rupert he has been in Seattle for the last seven years so he should be used to a bit of drizzle it's always raining there, the weather there is a lot like here.
