Jacob Murphy a villain according to certain fans, and Maddison a hero.

Murphy made a real contribution last year and Maddison flattered to deceive and jumped ship at the first opportunity.

Murphy starts, scores and sets one up yesterday for Norwich. Maddison doesn't make the squad. I guess Norwich coaches are wrong too.

If only they had the wisdom of some of our supporters ....

Maddison had a knock.

Maddison is twice the player Jacob Murphy is. Just because you score it doesn't mean you play well.

Murphy got an odd amount of stick on here considering he got double figures for goals and assists.

Just look at some of the reaction to yesterday to see how foolish our fans can be.
I don't think the reactions to yesterday were foolish, it's not the result so much it's the state
Of the team and squad in general.
Unless TM pulls out all the stops and strikes it lucky in the loan market, I fear the worst for
This season TBH

People moaned about the state of the team last season.

We lacked in firepower when it counted, mowbray played 4 strikers signed over the summer....

We have the basis of a good side.

A key outlet in this formation is the wing-backs and while DKE did ok, they both weren't good enough or offered enough going forward.

The fact that there is no number 4,5,7 and 9 speaks volumes. I'll judge the squad when the transfer window closes.

I was pro-Murphy and found myself increasingly annoyed with Maddison at times, but at the same time I wouldn't take a single Norwich game as proving any points. Murphy is a 21 year old with a decade at the club, Maddison is a teenager who's just turned up.

What annoyed me most about Murphy was the games he wasn't playing well.

Yes on his day he would tear people apart, on others he just stood with his hands on his hips.

Hopefully he has learnt from it and will have more of the tearing apart games!

Maddison frustrated me endlessly after his move, hands on hips and flat footed for large parts of games without affecting things much. for a sever million pound player he was awful, looked like he didn't want to be here, should never have loaned him back.

At the end of last season both those players deserved nothing other than to be put in a taxi and sent back to Norwich.

Maddison was good early in the season, but the move inflated his ego. Murphy was good when he put the effort in, but had an alarming amount of bad games. Despite some fans being up in arms whenever he was criticised, no one could actually name more than about 5 games he actually played well in last season.

People are just frustrated that our team is no where near ready yet, something doesn't feel quite right.

You'll probably hear less and less of this as the season goes on.

Unbelievable with Murphy really. He was a big player for us last season especially first half. His form dropped along with everyone else's. Maybe his he's didn't pick up again but I don't think its unreasonable to put that down to youth and inexperience. He's a good player and I personally hope he can continue with his form yesterday through the whole season, gets promoted with Norwich and then makes the step up again in the PL. Personally I think we can take some pride in that as we helped his career develop.

No some fans just pointed out his limitations (Murphy). There was a period where he deserved dropping and probably would have benefitted from a couple of games out. He becomes lost when they double up on him. However if you can get him one on one he is devastating because of his pace. But it is pace rather than skill like Dave Bennett had where he could show the defender the ball and take it away past them. He could glide round defenders.

As for Madderson, talent yes, proven no, too much expected too soon.

Nick honest opinion, is our squad stronger now or the beginning of last season.

Of course it is weaker now, I'll see at the end of August. Couple of solid players w won't be much worse off.
But we should be better not much worse off.
Everyone will be calling for Mowbray to go.
Then we get a new manager and everyone will say it's Mowbrays team wait till next season.
Then off we go again........
