And probably more for fans who have moved away from Coventry .
If the club said right, you seem to know what's right to run this club , come and do it then . would you ?
Leave everything behind ie nice home , location , weather , lifestyle etc .

No , I do run my own business but have no experience of running a football club , I have an opinion but no expertise in this field . I think it is vital to have a football background to run a club . Others have found this out already ;)

I wouldn't have the experience to be honest, I could give them hundreds of ideas about PR and how to market things though (and I dont even work in marketing).

No fucking chance.....
Couldn't be bothered with the hassle.....or the pay cut....
LOL :)

Got to be honest , I would .
I live in a very nice part of England but , would trade it for getting CCFC back to where I feel CCFC should be .
I'd have former 87 WINNERS as my staff . ie Cyrille as manager , Bennett , Peake , Oggy , Killer , Phillips , Gynn all on the staff . and , Gould and Sillett in the background .
Oh and humans on the turnstiles too .

I'm sure you can mediate people so , the staff I've mentioned above would be there to provide their expertise .

All well and good having 87 winners as staff, but what do they know about running a football club?

Simple ! I would get myself a nice comfy swivel chair employ Grendel sit back and let him run the show, surely things would only get better
I'm sure he'd WIND the club up .

I can imagine Bob, he would just totally ignore anybody who disagrees with him.

Sounds a bit like SISU ;)

I'd love to - embarrassingly I wrote a letter once to the club when I was 18 saying I'd really like a job working there (sales or something like that).

Don't have the experience or understanding but at least I would give a shit.

I'd love to work there, if they would match my wage for a job I could do then I probably would lurk about at Ryton not doing much :)

I reckon I could also be a coach who just lays passes off all day for the strikers or whips a cross in for keepers.

Sounds like you're over qualified , compared to who's running it now . #You'reHired

And insist he appointed Pressley as his assistant
I'd insist you were hung upside down on the Goal Bar 'Naked' while the players practiced their free kicks .

I'd do it in a heartbeat.

I may not have the full experience necessary, but SISU's horrendous attempt can't be that hard to beat!

One thing's for sure, i'd certainly listen to the rest of the fan base regularly, i'd drop all court proceedings and take the council out for a massive dinner. Following that and maybe in a 'cash for honours' type scandal, get some planning permission to build our own stadium in the city center, whether that was at the Butts or a new site, no one would moan about the parking as the only people that would need to drive is fans coming from a far and the disabled. There would be a small car park for the latter on site, and a free park and ride system for the former. I would also ensure there was a terrace prepared for use behind one goal (should Celtic's trial go well) that is in the style of HSV Hamburg's.

Season tickets would be dropped in price to reward as many hardcore as possible and then we'd make a sensible charge for the Premiership. I have some of my own business experience and reckon with a few trusty board members we could bring Coventry City Football Club back to the proud icon of the city it once was!

My concern with that is we would be......

Breaking contracts all the time.

Not signing deals when we get that point in a negotiation where we have a good deal, but we want more and then we screw it all up by pushing too far.

We would give all our home grown players shit and move them on because they are not instant successes whilst developing.

We would alienate and argue with everyone we need to do business with.

We would charge £100 a match and play in a sports centre and only have 4 fans (but they would be the true fans, the super fans)

We would take everybody to court for no reason

We would try and get back out the city whilst negotiating our move to the sports centre.

We would also have to self loath ourselves as the worst and most embarrassing fans in the world. Especially if we disagreed with Grendel when he made decisions that we felt would hurt the club long term but benefited him. As we would all know Grendel owns the club so we should back him in every battle otherwise we are not true fans.

Other than those minor issues Grendel would be a good owner.

(SISU all is forgiven)

I worked at Ryton once spraying the ex physios car for him, met Ray Graydon who seemed a decent guy, managed to upset or rather bemuse Clinton Morrison telli ng him I thought he would have a pink Bentley with gold trimmings rather than the dark coloured one he had... But I would like to think I could run it a lot better than it is

I wouldn't drop all court proceedings. I'd use that as a bargaining tool to get the best deal I could for a long term rental of the Ricoh, (As I couldn't afford to build a new stadium, well, not one big enough anyway...) and secure the academy future.

Regarding fans that live away from the city, I see many SISU out people claiming that they would take liquidation if it meant getting rid of SISU and starting again from the bottom. For me and every single other fan I've spoken to that doesn't live in the city if CCFC went tits up that would be the end, AFC Coventry or whatever would be to me just some lower league football club I have no interest in. This is why it's imperative that we keep hold of the club we've got, a new club would loose the support of thousands and be restricted to forever being a lower /non league club

Same for me in the city! I wouldn't start again with a team in Midlands combination
