New ticketing system (or other match day experience thread if you like) (6 Viewers)

when is it going to get sorted?

Appreciate its the first league home game, but there's a hell of a lot of work needed to keep people coming.

Main issues around the turnstiles and new tickets;

Closed turnstiles despite ST saying turnstile numbers, and mixed messages from stewards (you can use any / you have to use specific ones)

New card system - any explanation anywhere how to use it? First turnstile I was turned away from as "it's not got the number on the back of your card so you can't come in this one" I was told to lay it in the tray. Second one I used (despite still not being a number on the back of my ST as those turnstiles were closed) was told to hold it against the wifi-like symbol on the front.

Feel sorry for the new commercial manager who must be picking up a lot of pieces that he has little or no fault in!

Parking is just as bad. Got a ST for car park B. Part of that is supposed to be ANPR, But they also send you a disc for the front of your car (like old tax disk). I've put the disk in the old tax disk holder (made sense to me), but no one checks that and the ANPR doesn't seem to be in place yet. OK, not the fault of the club, but surely the club would be the best people to take it up with wasps?

On another note, like our attacking play :)

I saw a closed gate, went to the next one and got in.

I always try my luck to get in close to the jsb bit anyway but couldn't get in there last year either.

Turnstiles were a shambles. Most were closed...all the ones on my ticket shut. Tried next told couldn't use it and sent to ticket office. Told there turnstiles were open. When about 4 of us said no they not then frantic Wilkie-talkie conversations. Finally told we could use any and it went out on tannoy. Got back to close to where we needed to be told on gate we had to use right numbered turnstile. Finally let in.
Just the way to keep dedicated fans.

We walk from car park B so used to go in about half way up. Tried that today as normal but were denied entry! Maybe they were worried I only wanted to come in to use their wifi!

I collected mine after a queue of less than 1 minute and was straight in the first turnstile.

Walked up to the first turnstile I came to (not the one on my ST). Was a couple of people in front of me, scanned my card and went in.

Why were people getting turned away? I didn't speak to a single steward on the way in, nobody checked anything.

I got my bag checked, but it's standard!

Well that's why I couldn't just go to another turnstile.

The security guys wouldn't let me try anywhere else and directed me directly to a particular gate and when I got there they wanted to check my bag again too.

Got to admit I used the wrong turnstile and it worked ok
But if they are going to print numbers on the back the turnstiles should be open.
Not everyone can think for themselves.
They really are amateurish at the basics.
Couldn't even tell people what queue to queue in for tickets.
There really is no excuse for getting it wrong once again.
As one of the supporters said on the phone in I brought these tickets off CCFC you can't blame anyone else.

Don't know Lucky to have already had my tickets.
Only repeating what happened to people around me and the ones who phoned up CWR.
They were queuing for their ST and were told to join another queue, when they got to the counter they were told by the staff they know nothing about it and it is for matchday tickets only.
fuckin farcical.
You couldn't make it up

Yeah, there were signs saying match tickets and season tickets when I went past.

People stood by closed turnstiles having meltdowns. Just walk to the next one for ffs. Why walk all the way round to the ticket office to moan like some were?

Just got home fairly eventful trip really, got just the other side of Norwich when I
Realised I'd forgotten my glasses, debated whether to turn back for them but
Opted to plough on. Although I've made the journey hundreds of times I went
On to make six 6 wrong turns, I even got lost in the service station car park ffs
Much to my lads disgust.
Normally get into Cov at about 1pm but ended up rolling up at 2.40pm went too
POTG and thankfully got straight in, tickets for block 14 never been in there but
Give it a go. Found myself sitting in front of some c##t banging a fuckin drum
Great, could hardly see the pitch never mind the players, the more I strained
My eyes the worse they got.
The only thing I could safely say about the game is, what do we do to refs, when
They arrive do we prang their car, piss in there tea, turn the heat up in their
Dressing room. We must do something to deserve the woeful performances
We always seem to get .
Ah well we didn't lose I suppose. :)

There may have been signs Nick but they were told to move into the other queue, So is that their fault for doing what they were asked to do?
Ether way there is no excuse, for the latest cluster fuck.
Just get it right ffs.
You can't keep blaming the fans for everything.
