I don't think we can write TM off yet for this season tho alarm bells are not far away if suitable players are not recruited in the next week.
Our league position says there is a problem and we can all see it but we've only lost 1-0 and 3-1 with two 0-0 draws thrown in. Goals have been the issue would we have lost at Swindon if we had a suitable striker? Would we have drew 0-0 in both the games? At the back we've looked ok till the second half at Bradford. Tho clearly the defenders we currently have are not going to last the whole season.
But look at the goals we've conceded in the league, 4 goals 2 of which were pens, 2 from open play which one was a wonder goal. Baring last night the goals Portsmouth scored were a pen and a free kick.
Last night was a disappointment on the score line but it's a massive gulf in quality of players, it may well of been norwich back up players mostly but there more than good enough and once it goes to 3-1 straight from us replying heads are gonna drop.
For me now it's all about Saturday. A response is a must, a bit of luck required to get that first league win or we could end up loosing the will a bit and start drifting away.
I'm still hopeful of more recruits coming in, if anything the message has been sent that were well under strength and we need players badly. We could of ended up winning a few and under a false dawn thinking all is well.....

Pressley lucked out on having Mark Robins team playing for him for the first season. Once those players got sick of his bullshit and left, he replaced them with a lot of players who were shit and who ended up getting sick of his bullshit after about 4 months. look at the amount of players we signed under him, Miller springs to mind, touted all preseason as the star of the team and he didn't even get a look in.

Ageyi was blowing after 50 minutes, he needed to come off. I'm not being funny but the midfield know that Tudguy wont run in behind, you knock it to him, he holds up play and brings others into play. that's what hes done his whole career. The performance didn't go down hill because he came on, Bradford were just having a good spell. Even at 3-1 down we still created the better chances, Tudguy going through and putting it into the top tier then you McCann clean through who pushed it slightly wide and ended up in a tame shot. I've said on another thread that in the next 5 games well give a team a hammering and I still think we will.

Norwich are far better then us, it's that simple. They're a prem club with a prem squad. I didn't go so can't say what happened but I don't think we have any reason to worry.

Why anyone states Mowbray is the best manager at League 1 level is beyond me. Clubs like Burton Albion, Walsall etc who had smaller budgets with no 'stars' in the team managed to do a lot better. From my perspective, he is struggling to get players in, half of the ones he does bring in our pony, hes tinkering with formations that don't suit us, he keeps changing the line up all the time. He has offloaded a couple of players we should have kept. He has had all summer to recruit and 3/4 league games in, he said we aren't ready. Shrewsbury made 7 signings quick. Sick of the excuses. We are on the path to extinction under SISU that's for sure and I am sure TM hands are tied on some things but come on, this bloke is in charge of recruitment, formation, tactics and game plan and there basically isnt one. It needs to change quick starting with Northampton otherwise he needs to go.

I think he is aiming too high with players. For example when he was going after Wilson who was on 20k a week, most people go mental that it's SISU's fault we don't have the budget to play him. Common sense says he is always going to want to play in the Championship and we will be competing against those teams for players like him.

It is the same as other managers, people just stand behind the "hands are tied" and would even if he stuck RCC up front and Kelly Evans in goal.

For me there is still no better option at the moment. People are comparing us to scunny, Walsall, Barnsley etc but I think the key difference is that they are not on a complete rebuild every year. Of course they lose players as everyone does in this league but we are constantly replacing around 10 players a season whether it be loans or not. Last seasons team should have been the springboard to the next step but we go and sell out two midfielders (well one left of his own accord) so there is just no continuity. This whole approach is not sustainable, I would rather bring in youngsters then journeymen also. we are building for yesterday not tomorrow currently.

I believe that the manager and his team have had enough time and are heading in a downward spiral, Mowbray is uninspiring and you can see that each week in our results.

Notable that it was "only" 2-1 until about the hour mark last night. The team don't be able to sustain a performance beyond that. Is it tiredness, or just a lack of concentration for a longer period?

Younger players should be fitter and able to last longer than older players. I think fitness is an issue.
