Funny it was a Northampton fan well that says it all.I was standing outside with my friend who is a northampton fan, i have no reason to lie and he can back me up with what he said.
End Of Story.

Or see him abusing the City fans I was in that area funny they didn't abuse the tall blonde who walked by in a wasps kit.Strange how in a busy public place nobody seem to see Haskell get abused like he claims
Alex is from Brentford Essex.....something tells me Alex isn't a local.
That may very well be the case but he's a professional sportsman at a public event representing his club, he shouldn't be responding like that.I would say in the circumstances if that's how it went then they are mugs.

If it was one of our players who had done it there would be outrage and it would be all over the Telegraph.
In a busy public place has there been an eyewitness report saying he was abused and provoked into his response? Not that I know of, if he was then I'm sure we'd have heard about it by now.So when I first saw this yesterday.
Haskel was getting called every name under the sun.
As a rumour had gone round that he walked up to some random Cov fans and called them 'mugs'
Then I saw a Twitter post from Haskell effectively saying it was bang out of order to be abused by a couple of Cov fans whilst he was signing autographs.
So I sensed he had been provoked and thought nothing more of it. Now I see the latest that he has abused disabled fans????
Are we really saying an England international Rugby player has walked out amongst the Cov fans and abused some disabled people calling them mugs?
I am going to take a huge leap of faith here and take a total guess.
I reckon Haskell was signing autographs most likely with families.
I think some angry Cov fans have more motivation to have a pop at him. Than he is motivated to randomly abuse them.
I reckon they gave him some abuse and yes he called them mugs.
I would say in the circumstances if that's how it went then they are mugs.
Yes I would, history shows that would be the case.So if two Cov fans go over to Tudgay tomorrow and start giving him a us as he is with families signing autographs.
He then turns to them and call them mugs.
You would expect there to be outrage and it to be all over the CET.
Actually it sounds much more likely that Haskell was over sensitive and had a massive overreaction and took offence to someone asking him 'you're not from cov you're from London aren't you?' and then let himself down.
Yes I would, history shows that would be the case.
Not saying I agree with it, if people are giving it out they should be prepared to take it but why is the response different when its a Wasps player?
Seems that way, if he was genuinely abused I'm sure we'd have heard about it by now.So Haskel mistook a person politely
Asking him if he is from Coventry I London as abuse?
I am not sure about sensitive that sounds like a personality disorder.
Was this before during or after he abused some disabled fans?
What makes you think that? Off the top of my head look at what happened when Kilbane had a go back or Reda went to a Sheff Wed game or Maddision tweeted back to fans calling him a snake. That would indicate to me it would be reported on.I disagree with you. If the Tudgay scenario happened I don't think the CET would be lynching him.
Seems that way, if he was genuinely abused I'm sure we'd have heard about it by now.
Yep, interesting he only tweeted after the rumour on twitter that he called fans mugs started going around. Nobody else has said they saw or heard the abuse though, trying to save face I would suggest.we have he tweeted saying words to the effect of completely out of order getting abused by a couple of Coventry fans whilst signing autographs

He overreacted to a nothing comment and then put that on twitter afterwards to save his rep, seems pretty straightforward what happened.
Well apparently all football fans are morons and rugby is a gentlemen's game, so in that respect just like a wasps soundbite to Simon Gilbert, James Haskell must be telling the truth...How do you decide who is a liar?
Well he has to discriminate surely. Randomly moving them about would be very confusing don't you think? What has this got to do with ccfc ? Seems to me administrator Nick is selective when moving threads
Well who has more reason to lie?How do you decide who is a liar?
Or a random footie fan making an arse of himself.Well who has more reason to lie?
The international rugby player to save face, or some random footy fan that nobody knows.
Or a random footie fan making an arse of himself.
I think I will politely not believe you. Your failure to use proper words or grammar give me that opinion.
He was not signing any autographs, and no one abused him. The cov supporter who asked him " your not from cov your from london arent you?" that is not abuse the reply from him was" we are not from london we are from fuckng high wycombe you fucking mug" he then spouted some stuff about a rugby magazine?? and then seeing me laughing at what he said..
He called me a coventry mug and i will see what it means to be a proper mug soon!
Why do Rugby Union fans or people in general have a go at Footballers salaries?I know you guys probably couldn't care less, and appreciate your angst (though I think it's wrongly directed).
James Haskell may like the public limelight - but there is absolutely no reason whatsoever he would have a pop at some CCFC fans, for no reason whatsoever.
He was absolutely instrumental in winning the recent test series 3 games to 0 against Australia, putting his body on the line - which is exactly why he's walking round with a boot on, in the first, having broken his toe but even then, he kept on playing.
That saw England rise in the rankings, second only to the All Blacks, in the World.
If only the England football team played with the same passion and dedication, rather than looking like they couldn't be arsed. We're are we now - 13th in the rankings?
The biggest laugh is Wayne Rooney is paid more in a week, than I think nearly all English Rugby players (if not all) are paid in a year - so you'd think the team would have a little more drive, pride and passion.
Anyways - I digress. I'm convinced there was more than a little provocation, as this was totally out of character, off the pitch. On the pitch, possibly - but there is just no motivation!
He rugby tackled a disabled fan out of his wheelchair, disgraceful.

Rum
Haskell didn't say that did he. So I wouldn't judge him based on the arrogant comments of those jumping to his defence.
I am just taking a step back and looking at it. Not from a I hate Wasps and badly wish it to be true point of view.
More from a is the captain of England Rugby club going to start calling a disabled person a mug if they politely asked him if he comes from Coventry or London.
Or
Is he going to call a normal Cov fan a mug who has just given him abuse for no reason
Hmmmm
Yep Haskel must be lying to save face
Neither of us were there, I've already said earlier in the thread I have no idea whether its true or not, neither do you.
I also have no idea what was said to him or how it was said to him, as I wasnt there. Then again neither were you. Mind you I don't like the way he calls him "an insane old man".
Its got nothing to do with whether I hate wasps or not. I would be expecting the same scrutiny had it been one of our players.
It is funny though, there seem to be no witnesses either way, but you have chosen to believe him rather than the city fan. I would assume, the truth is somewhere in between.
