Do we think the FA would consider the re-allocation of the golden share to a Coventry Supporters group if its clear with say circa 12 months that there is no clear plan for a new ground, sure i read somewhere they (FA)wouldn't consider another move from the City and with Wasps withdrawing from further negotiations etc it will be clear within that time span whether there the Club / SISU have a plan B.

No, the FA will allow the club to again move temporarily and ground share. Failing that, the club will be expunged from the league. With wasps refusing to negotiate, the club are in a strong position. Thr FA and FL won't want to set a precedent.

Believe it or not but a lot of other fans look upon us with sympathy regarding the Wasps situation; it's a shame that some of our fans don't feel the same.
I think a number of fans look at us with sympathy because of the Wasps and Sisu situation.

Pretty much sums it up. The club now have more than enough evidence to make a decent case that they are being forced out. There's zero chance they will risk kicking us out of the league and spending years in court.

Could Sisu not drop the court cases and negotiate? I don't think I would negotiate with someone who is suing me, would you? (Not a Wasps apologist, they are a franchise, they should not be here. The fact that they are is down to Sisu). No one should see Sisu as the victims in all of this. CCFC and the fans yes but not Sisu. They are the cause of all of this.

Strange though, they did start negotiating knowing full well about the court cases didn't they?

What gives them the right to dictate to us over legal procedings? I often wonder if other club's fans would continue to defend them so much.

What would happen if SISU said that Wasps had to do something completely unrelated to SISU and CCFC? For example, change their kit colour.

Would people be saying Wasps should change their kit so talks could go?

Sisu have no choice, but to drop the legals, there will be no negotiation unless they do

What if SISU say that Wasps must do something also? I don't know, drop a contract with a supplier or something in return.

I take it everybody will be saying Wasps must drop them for talks to happen? OR will it be "It is nothing to do with CCFC"

The butts is still an option apparently with plans for a 24,000 capacity stadium

You obviously align yourself with Sisu as you say "us". Do you really think CCFC will benefit if Sisu win their cases? It is Sisu's legal action not the club's. At the trust forum that Chris Anderson attended he actually said that he wished all of the legal actions were at an end as it was making life far more difficult for the club. He made a point of saying that he and the club were separate to Sisu. You seem to see them as one and the same.

I'd hazard a guess he means CCFC, the ones who were negotiating with Wasps...

If it is SISU's legal action and not CCFC's, I guess people should be shouting that at people like Wasps to negotiate..

I thought all fans cared about was the truth? Now it seems that we must bow down to Wasps.

How many times do we have to hear the truth before it's accepted as the truth? I would have thought after all the failed court cases and failed appeals we could accept that we have heard the truth.

I've heard the truth. You've heard the truth. You might not be ready to accept it but it is the truth.

I don't want anyone bowing to wasp's. What I do want is pointless, waste of time hurdles that are damaging my football club taking down. Why wouldn't I? Why wouldn't you?

Haven't the court cases been judgements on state aid?

I'd love nothing more than some sort of JR against cruelty to CCFC where everybody gets put in the dock.

Do you (if we put Wasps stance aside) think that JR2 should be investigated? I think we all agree that JR1 should be put to bed ASAP...

So basically the court case's are doubly pointless. They're never going to win and the truth (or at least the version that some people want to come out) will never come out.

Like I said, I don't want anyone bowing to wasp's. What I do want is pointless, waste of time hurdles that are damaging my football club taking down. Why wouldn't I? Why wouldn't you?

I don't know what people are expecting JR2 to achieve.

Basically depending on who you want to believe CCC sold a share in a company that cost them nothing and was apparently worthless for a couple of million and extended a lease on a worthless white elephant that cost them nothing to build while regenerating a run down piece of wasteland at zero cost to them. If all that's true what's the judge going to say other than well done?

Couldn't give a rats ass what other fans think of us. (If they think anything at all)
Couldn't give a rats ass about what hypothetically other fans would do in our situation.
Non of us know what the FL will do if the situation arises again. Non of us can know as we are not the FL.
To be able to move you need concrete proof that you can come back. Otherwise the FL won't allow it. They can't agree to franchising.
So we need to prove to them it is only temporary.
Which mean at least a million pound bond again. That's what it cost last time when we told them we were only moving whilst we built our new stadium over three to five years.
I assume (guess) when we told them we were coming back it was only temporary into the Ricoh whikst we build our new stadium.
So with that in mind I would be very surprised if they wouldn't want at least a million again.
Who knows though they could let us move with no proof. They could do a Brighton on us and say you can't give us assurances about a new stadium you are moving nowhere.

how many court cases, appeals and re-appeals have they had, ( I lost count).

the thing is, all the judges, high court justices and appeal court justices have the same code of conduct to reach a decision, they will not accept one of their own has made a bad judgment and go against it

they will close ranks and the outcome will stand. the whole legal system would be embarassed if they said a mistake was made

How can they do that then? Can the FL and FA force wasps to do a Ricoh deal?

Yes none of us know for sure but rather than scaremongering, i'm prefer to take the the wider view and that tells me there is another facts and supposition to pursuade the FL that we're being forced out. We seem to have been keeping the FL and FA in the loop, i'm sure they will be upfront with thr club on the likely scenarios

(I didn't say they can force us to do a deal I said they can say they won't allow us to move. If we do not provide them with sufficient proof of our intent to return )

Yes none of us know

As much as we want the FL to do something about this situation they won't. Wasps own the Ricoh they can't force them to do tap. Wasps tell the club the price tell the FL we offered and Sisu have a big fat ball in there court.

FL are more likely not to allow Sisu to move again, as a ground, planning permission was supposed to been on display already. Sisu do not have the money to build, buy or rent let's be honest. They are playing for time hoping the courts step in. Wasps don't have to do anything other than offer a deal with clauses with money upfront due to Sisu's past in paying up. Wasps will make it as hard as they can for resolution for Sisu, np doubt about that.

The Football League stressed Albion would not be allowed to share a stadium outside Brighton and Hove unless the owners produced "concrete evidence" of the club's future return to the area. Archer and Stanley could not.

Chartwell threw Albion a lifeline by offering to lease back the Goldstone for an extra season at a rent of £480,000 but the company rejected the club's counter-offer of £200,000 and set Albion a deadline of noon on April 30.

With no agreement, Albion faced homelessness and possible extinction going into the match against York on April 27, 1996. Fans invaded the pitch and pulled down both sets of goalposts, forcing the match to be abandoned after 16 minutes.

Less than an hour before Chartwell's deadline, Albion agreed to lease back the Goldstone for a season. Bellotti refused to reveal the rent but it was reported to be £480,000, the initial asking price, suggesting the club could have prevented the abandonment.

As I say if the FL don't get the proof they require. As per above they won't allow a move. It's down to us to decide what we do if that's the FL's decision.
I imagine this time round will require more than the one million bond we provided last time ( just a guess)

More importantly as per in another thread unless it is somewhere local.
I cant see SISU choosing to go for another Northampton scenario. It's just a downward spiral to oblivion.
Either that or they forget the club paying for itself model.

If the progress made on JR 2 is the same timescale as JR 1 we are looking at this thing dragging on for several more years. I am not sure that there will be a CCFC around if that is the case. Would you sooner that was investigated and our club dies or would it be best to put the club first and drop the legal action?

Anderson also said at the Trust meeting that the club would never leave Coventry again under his stewardship. Maybe he never envisaged this set of circumstances, interesting to see what he will do.

i was talking to my son the other day about the stadium situation. It is really ironic that TF kept the pot boiling with all of his "identifying two sites, and now we are down to one site and can't reveal them due to confidentiality"etc when overwhelmingly most supporters simply wanted to go back to the Ricoh. Since Wasps have arrived and we really do need a stadium and one that, provided it was in or close to Coventry, most people would accept, we hardly hear a peep from him. ( Token effort, site outside of City identified if Butts deal falls through. Well it has fallen through and no surprise, we hear no more about this second site). Surely it is plain for everyone now to see that the sole purpose of the move to Sixfields was simply to distress ACL. Is there anyone now who would doubt that there never was going to be a new stadium?
if there is one thing that may make the FL object to Sisu moving us again it would surely be the lack of evidence of a new ground. Based on their gutless performance last time and as mentioned above, their reluctance to be the latest victims of Sisu's legal action, I can see them allowing Sisu to do what they want. What would become of our club then, playing for years at Nuneaton, Hinkley or even worse, Northampton. Sisu don't care about this club, they will do what is best for themselves.
