As you can see in this thread, everyone clearly knows the lad isn't good enough, nearly all of you are hoping he becomes good enough. He's not shown anything to have that hope you all have for him.

apart for Newcastle paying £1m + for him. Surely he showed something ?

Seems people's minds are already made up. Find it very odd that Aaron Phillips, who was at best OK, got a bigger response when he came on than our own new signing.
People have already made their minds up about G Thomas too, which is arguably harsher given he only turned 19 4 months ago, whereas Bigi is only 6-7 weeks away from turning 23. I think people are disappointed as he wasnt the player we needed.

Bigi has shown something though, in his first season with us and early on at Newcastle. Thomas appears to have no pace, strength and can't finish. He's like the anti-footballer.

Jesus Christ, you utter embarrassment.

Is that what we do? Does this kind of thing happen at other clubs? Does any other club seemingly want their own players to fail and seemingly enjoy it, as much as some of our "fans" do? It's genuinely baffling.

It's not the first time either, people were falling over themselves to criticise Bigirimana last season, even when he had good games towards the end of the season.

Ask yourselves this, how can you expect a hedge fund to "support" a team when you can't even bring yourself, as a supposed fan, to support your own teams players yourself.

Embarrassing. How can you slag off a returning player who's had a tough few years with his football career who actually (unlike most of he mercenaries we employ) has an affinity for the club?

Give him time or alternatively nitpick every aspect of his game and masturbate yourselves senseless whilst telling us you "told us so".

Rant over.

Bigi Bigi Bigi, cant you see?

All joking aside, watch him play, he can pass the ball properly, it has an extra zip on it, he is always available for a pass, very rarely loses the ball. Needs to sharpen up a bit and be slightly more aware in snuffing out their attacks but that will come with time and experience. Expecting him to be a wonderful centre midfielder after approximately 50 odd 1st team appearances for us and Newcastle combined is a bit much.

They won't have it. G Thomas and Sordell are next. It's so weird and utterly pointless.
Well done to them though if the players mentioned do fail. Extra special wank then.

he actually played really well last night , a few misplaced passes when he tried beckham style passes ,to which he put his hand up but all in all a good performance...

as mentioned by SA, Gael has an affinity with CCFC, which is something that should be welcomed wholeheartedly by CCFC fans,
there are other players who will also have a similar affinity to our club,
i see absolutely no point in 'slagging off' a player, especially when he clearly possesses skill, determination, passion, & drive for CCFC

I thought Bigi did alright last night. His biggest problem seems to be trying to hit massive crossfield passes, if his success rate on those doesn't increase then the simple solution is just not to attempt them.

and if he didnt try these big passes haters say hes shit and can only pass sideways

in football you need to try risky passes sometimes.

Go through my post history and tell me where I've ever had anything bad to say about Gael. This post and the thread are genuine. He's a family friend and I've always had the utmost respect for him on and off the pitch.

I'll await an apology.

I maintain he's a good player and has the ability to dictate games. He's also a confidence player and the two go hand in hand.

His long range accuracy is not great, but he hasn't had a run of games since he left us for Newcastle. It will come. The positive is that he sees the right option.

Additionally, passing sideways is not the sign of a bad player, but someone who appreciates the need to keep the ball. As long as it's not at the expense of a better forward pass, there's nothing wrong with it.

I cannot believe (well I can, because of some of the idiots on here) that people are slagging Bigi off. He is not the finished product, and like most kids needs encouragement and responds to praise.

An over hit corner and a couple of over hit passes apart, I thought he had a great game, and will grow in confidence. Got stuck in and has a great attitude.

Well done Bigi.

Totally agree, I thought he played really well and had the vision to attempt those long passes, only some of which were overhit. Got stuck in as well.

Another top performance.

I'm glad this boy is proving you all wrong. I've been saying it for 5 years

Great isn't it, it'll be so funny if he fails and you are proved right. Can't wait myself, hope we get relegated too. That'll be a right giggle.

Bigi was probably our best player yesterday. In a poor team performance he played well.

He was comfortably our best player. Aggressive, can't remember him giving the ball away. He moved about quickly.

Gael was easily our best player yesterday, he was the only one who had a bit of desire. Great ball he won in there half at 0-0 to put Agyei through to be met by 2 defenders tho to get a cheap shot away.
