McBean clearly isn't anywhere near the 1st team. K Thomas injured and G Thomas a "squad player".

Leaves Aygei, Sordell, Tudgay, Wright, Lamerais, Reid, Jones.

7 competing for 3 places.
By the law of averages one of them will come good.

You actually think this guy is good don't you?

I'll be honest.I don't know, as I have not heard of him. Clearly you do and I will listen to what you know. What do you think his areas of weakness are ?. Who is he similar to in our squad ? , does he have any strengths ?

wasn't he recalled to play for arsenal youth ?

........................................

In a slightly unsual deal Akpom had been allowed to play for the Gunners at youth level despite being on the books at Coventry and recently netted in both the UEFA Youth League and the FA Youth Cup. While he didn’t score during his time on loan his progress both tactically and physically is understood to have been noted by Arsene Wenger.

Interestingly, Coventry expressed concerns last week that Akpom was suffering from constantly chopping and changing between clubs.

Might be being a bit cynical here but reading between the lines of Mowbrays comments I get the impression that this guy is far from his number one target.

We know for definite the villa guy was ahead of him in the target list

I want him to do well anyway, obviously. But now I REALLY want him to do well so I can laugh at you.

No doubt 'wanted to be proved wrong' will surface at some point.
I look forward to you laughing at me if he turns out to be shit, because I'll still be laughing at you anyway.
It's hard to get hard when signing players without any kind of record.
Yes gut reaction, but also a very honest reaction you must agree.

Does it really Make you guys excited that we've signed a guy that can't score in a Sunday league?

Just read he is pacey and strong and good up front or out wide.

Hopefully he is like Reid but with a good shot!

We create chances, it is just finishing them we have the issues with.

What point are you making? It seems to change with every post. Is it a) Chuba Akpom is shit, b) Andre Wright is shit, c) Coventry City is shit, or d) you don't actually know?
Just answering about 8 people's posts I'm one to be honest

Hope we have another arma but can't believe you lot aren't as disappointed at getting son youth team reserve player in as our saviour this season.

I'm not disappointed because, being honest, I haven't heard of 90% of players we sign these days. Some are good, some are crap, most are somewhere inbetween.

And Reid, Jones and Lameiras aren't really strikers.

We signed Mcgoldrick and he was considered a joke signing at the time.

It means nothing until you see him play surely?

Perhaps the 4 hours of transfer day on Sky Sports have affected me, along with the vodka tonic of course. But what a fucking anti climax

We've loaned strikers who've done well, we've loaned strikers who've been giant farts. Few if any have come to us with any sort of prolific scoring record. All he has in common with them is being a loanee from what I can gather.

Mogga has stated clearly he is still in the market for players , and there are still a lot of quality players , by league 1 standards , out there
