Released by yet another club! And he's how old? It's a shame because on his day he's decent enough at this level and there is clearly some talent in there, but I'd hazard a guess that his attitude and inconsistency will continue to be his downfall. Wouldn't have him back here petsonally, he's hardly proved Mowbray wrong since he was released. Quite a character though!

I hardly remember him except that he was bloody lazy.

I've been to China and I'm not too sure where he was playing most recently will have been to Frank's liking.

Initially, Frank was in Tianjin and I'm sure this wasn't too bad for him. Tianjin is a large city and a former 'Treaty Port' - it's quite modern and sophisticated there. Also, Tianjin is just over half an hour from Beijing by high speed train. The Tianjin team signed a couple of Brazilian forwards and in December Frank was loaned out to a team based in Hohhot, which is in Inner Mongolia. Hohhot is... is... not Tianjin (I don't want to offend and that's really the nicest thing I can say). I am sure that when he agreed to go to China Frank didn't imagine he end up being loaned out to a club in Inner Mongolia and this may explain why he's returned to the UK after just 1 year of a 2 year contract.

In short, it might not be all Frank's fault.

He is better than Tudgay and both Thomas's. If we could ship those out (we looks like an effort I would take him on a short term deal with huge in insentives around goals, assists and kilomitors run per game

Always remember the midweek game when he toasted the oppos defence(can't remember who we were playing) and scored a great goal...that was probably his swansong for us

Was it Peterborough at home when we were losing 2-0 at halftime he came out and bossed the game and we won 3-2?

Or was it a different one.

City attack fails...
Frank strolls back towards the halfway line...
Opposition keeper, gets the ball, positions it, plays it up field...
Ball ends up with our defence who clear it into their half...
Frank's still 10 yards from the centre circle so he's offside...

This, along with other examples of his half arsed attitude would happen several times per game. Can only remember him chasing a loose ball once. That was at Fleetwood. Look what happened there. Also his goals against Posh and Gillingham at the Ricoh were impressive and showed if he was interested he was unstoppable once on the ball. It wasn't that he couldn't do it, I can handle that to an extent. It was that most of the time he wouldn't do it. He was one of the laziest players I've ever seen wear a City shirt. He has talent and shouldn't have been playing at L1 level but there's a reason why he was here. I'd rather have Nick Proschwitz back. He wasn't very good but at least he tried and looked bothered.

There's been plenty of arse kissing on Mr Nouble on twitter by some of our fans since he announced his return.

Why would anyone want him back? Who's next to get their affections? Loza? Lateef? Miller?

I am personally keeping an eye out on Orlando Smeekes. Ever since that day at Hinckley when he 2 footed the ad board, I knew he had a place in my heart :)

I always thought the lazy jibes were largely unfounded and just an easy option for the fan to say.

Lots of people say he had the talent but was lazy, I disagree.

I don't think he had as much as talent or quality as people think. He could show flashes to excite the crowd, but that isn't because he was extremely talented, that is down to because he was willing to try the risky option and every now and then it came off

His ball control was very eratic, his close control was poor often knocking the ball further than intended. His finishing was poor, often snatching at chances. His technique was rubbish, often ballooning chances and his left foot was non existent. He wasn't an aerial threat for a man his size and his passing was sloppy as well.

None of that was really down to his work rate or being lazy, it was just a lack of quality.

Just because once every three matches one of his tricks or fancy flicks were successful that doesn't mean he had the quality. What Nouble had was a bit of flair and confidence and people confuse that with quality.
