Cov have conceded 15 goals in 8 games (forget to mention that 6 were against Norwich and we won't face that quality in league 1 and 3 against Bradford after we were down to 10 men). Go on to say we will concede 90+ if we continue like that (but as above we won't face a team like the one Norwich put out every week).
I might be wrong but i thought Stokes was still injured, CT article reads "With proven League One performer Chris Stokes waiting in the wings after a lengthy lay-off".
Trying to make a story out of nothing, i quote again "Loanees from Premier League and Championship clubs will come and go - often at the expense of Coventry City's own youngsters' development. But, had a late departure for Willis transpired, Mowbray could have been this morning left seeking a free agent to vill the void left by the last remnant of a fruitful generation for the Sky Blues Academy. Be thankful it didn't, and Mowbray wasn't".
Same could be said for any club, thankfully so and so never left (the point is they did not leave) or you could have had problems replacing him.
Even worse "talkSPORT presenters chipped in, urging Championship sides to take a look at the versatile defender, with some rumours surfacing which suggest a Willis departure will be the only business Coventry City get up to on August 31" well we never sold him and brought in 2 more players (please, no more posts about them being young, not first choice etc, i'm on about the CT not player recruitment).
and last but not least "We'll never truly know whether there was a possibility Willis could have left this summer (you can imagine, though, that a move would have materialised had the right club with the right amount of money rang Ryton at the right time)".
Again same for any club in any league, had the right club with the right amount of money" came in for a player they will be sold. Thats not news or gossip, thats just bad reporting and trying to stir up shit.
What really annoys me with this article (and the CT seem to be doing more and more like this for clicks), is that more people read the CT than places like here (the casual fans), it's articles like this that will wind them up not knowing the facts and stop them going to games.
For clicks the CT are helping to demoralise our fan base. If they atleast interviewed the right people and pushed home the questions we all want answered i could forgive them for exaggerating storys for clicks. But either they can't get the answers (in which case don't make them up (your not a fans forum), people believe what you print) or they can't get the interview in the first place thus making up drivel like this.
All your doing is helping to destroy the club your reporting on, destroy it eneough then no more clicks as no more fans.
CT, try to build a positive news feed about the club. Try to help the fans want to come back, don't just make up negative stories.
Sorry about the rant, but this really pissed me off.
