A bit like the land around Higgs Centre being freed up for next to nothing ? Would CCC open up a the green belt further so CCFC could locate there or wouild it more valuable for residential?

The difference is Wasps seem to be able to come up with a vision, are capable of sitting down with those that they need to and enter meaningful discussions on their own like grown ups, come to an agreement, arrange finances by whatever ever means and then deliver on that vision.
Forget when did SISU ever build something. When did they ever take the steps needed to get to the place when you can build something?

They haven't announced any sponsors yet and it was CSF that supported them, CCC are building a different project, though I agree it is implausible there's been no coordination between the 3 parties (and the Higgs charity too).

I emailed my councillor, who now seems to always hide behind commercially confidential. I've also emailed my MP and Sport England with queries about how they have reached their conclusion.
Although not sure what that really has to do with my comment, are you only allowed to post on here now if you've actively become involved in something?

With regard to how much they are putting in, don't know and don't care (unlike some of the drama queens on here) but I'm sure if you ask Stupot he'll know.
On your last point, yet another naive poster who thinks that politicians should bend over backwards for us. When are people on here going to learn that a council is going to try and help a business (yes Oldfiver, that's a business) coming into a city which could potentially boost the city in different ways. Unfortunately, due to our owners obsession with everything BUT the football club, they have let this happen to us and they have burned that many bridges that they have backed themselves into such a stubborn corner that they do not want to get out of.

Wasps are flavour of the month, so I can see why they'd help them. As for the other 'sports teams'. I'm sure if you looked backed then you find that the council have helped local teams, say like stepping in to help finish stadiums and things like that, I can't be arsed to look at other sports but I bet if you looked back through history then you'd find other instances too.

Foreign students are good for the city. Not only does it allow students to go the other way, but lecturers too. Coventry universities vision for the next 5 years is to double the size of the students to 80,000 and some of those will be foreign and that alone will bring in more jobs, housing, nightlife and other opportunities to the city because all of these students needs places to live, go and eat and the cities people will help build and serve the students. And then some of the students that come may settle here and work here and that too will benefit the city.

Ok, you asked. My mate (Millwall fan btw) took his lad to a Cov game. He went in, had a look round, watched the game, bought him a hot dog then he was shown to his seat, watched the game and left.
Then my mate took his lad to a Wasps game. He went in, had a look round, his lad went off to the big kidzone thing they were doing and spent an hour doing rugby related stuff and then enjoyed the game. He now wants to get off his arse and play rugby at school. I might be wrong but this may of happened to other kids too.
So Nick, please tell me can you see the difference? he didn't have to join anything to get into certain areas or things but was welcomed for just being there.
I was driving home whilst when the Godiva festival was on and saw a very young asian girl walking home with her parents with her arms full of Wasps stuff, not CCFC stuff. I don't remember CCFC doing anything there.
I know the club have the JSB's but are you really going to say that CCFC do as much as Wasps in the city at present?

That isn't in the city is it, you only mentioned matchday and the godiva festival. What about after school clubs, what about the disadvantaged kids etc?
Your mate could have took his lad to the JSB Family Zone before the city game couldn't he? Yes, it isn't as fancy but the kids still love going in there and meeting the players etc. (I think there is a new fan zone being planned also)
I just assumed you knew everything that both did, rather than that one of your mates took his lad before a Wasps game. It sounds like you have just heard from your mate about the 2 experiences.

You answered someone earlier and took the piss about moving goalposts, I do believe there is another prime example. Only my observations but I believe you asked for them. Other people might have different views, but you asked me.
And the point I was making was that no-one came upto him when he went to Cov but was asked as soon as he went to Wasps, that's all. You asked for instances and I gave them to you, if you now want to carry on arguing then do it on your own.
