Not meant to be a shameless plug, more of a request (hoping you can humour me this one time Nick).

I'm looking for someone to take editorial control of the CCFC (and other sports ) content on CoventryToday - which you'll see is a bit thin on the ground at the moment - but it is very new.

CoventryToday is a new online news/magazine site. It's not intended to compete with the CT (a lofty ambition), but it is intended to be a news site with a different kind of content - much more interactive and user driven - and without the commercial restraints and agendas of the CT. It is not for profit essentially, hence the role will be unpaid - but it might appeal to someone. Anyone interested PM me or contact me via the site.

Promise I'll not mention it again

It might be worth messaging all of the bloggers who post blogs to see if they can do anything :)

Also, stick a link in your signature!

Site looks really nice as well, I will PM you about some stuff!

Ha! Cheers, but not sure how difficult that is really ;)

Content is thin though, so would be great to get a few bodies involved. No major commitment from anyone needed - a large pool of contributors each doing a little bit will go a long way.
Nice site ;), anything is better than the Cov Telegraph with their site full of ads and click bait :arghh: I would be more specific in what you you require to build your website.

Love it, Ferret. From small acorns and that.

I am happy to help if I can. :)

I really like your baby there ferret. Looks very professional.

You're going to have your work cut out keeping it up, but I would imagine looking at submit article link, you're looking for locals to provide content (which you presumably will edit/approve). Smashing concept if that's right, getting the community involved. Good luck, if I lived in Cov I'd do a bit more than just read it!

That's exactly the idea. I've seen it in the US, but the concept hasn't really been adopted here.

Obviosuly, as this is all a bit OT and I don't want to keep bumping this back to the top, so I'll just clarify what I'm looking for.

Essentially - interesting, well written and relevant content submitted by anyone.

On top of that - I could do with an editor for the CCFC content - someone to post regular updates, news bits, the odd opinion piece and also to keep an eye on the user-submitted stuff.

Cheers all.

Happy to have a go at the arts for you.

My daughter is in three drama groups, so I know quite a bit of what is going on in and around the city.

Looks great. Doesn't send my computer into meltdown like going on the CT site does.

Why don't you try some of the bloggers and see if you can make use of their content.

I'm not a yokel Ferret so I won't get as much use out of it as many on here but I've just had a look and it looks great. I agree with Dave...the CTs site is awful and makes my laptops/tablet go into meltdown when opened.

Do you know what I really, really, really like about your site though? No mention of anything Wasps related. Not that I could see anyway. Good work.

I was looking on that site a few days ago after stumbling on it, didn't realise it was to do with anyone here. Really like it, the layout feels as though you're on the internet in 2016 as opposed to the clunky 2000s Telegraph page with its shifting frames.

Perfect time to speak to the club about going to interviews with the manager and players.

No idea how it all works, if you have to be a qualified journo or something to prevent randoms turning up.
