4600 and rising so obviously 5000 will be hit.

If we could hit some big milestones it would be good. I.e get more signatures than oldham Saturday would be a good one and also beat 10k after that.

On the previous petition how many did we get? Could we beat that?

Because if I signed everything they emailed me I'd be doing it 24/7.
Well don't sign everything they send you - just sign this. Takes ten seconds. Don't you want SISU to feck off?

Ikeep hearing about fan ownership but I just think that people haven't thought it through. The problem is that it's not a couple of thousand fans paying £20 a year.
Either we need some millionaire backers who will fund the losses or we expect let's say 2.5k members which is optimistic given trust membership which is £1 full stop.
The club loses £2m per year (no, we are not sustainable) so that means each member has to provide 50k PER YEAR to keep us going. As we lose so much cash we'd need 100,000 people putting in £20 a year. Dream on.

Let's face it; we need people with deep pockets. Joy has deep pockets herself but seems her arms are shrinking.

Not really. We first need to know what sisu want as someone said earlier you can't make an offer if it's not for sale as such. Even then we as fans aren't sustainable long term especially.

What we need is to find out how much they want and on what Terms?
I got told they are after 60 million for the club, as they went to recoup the investment they put in. There is people interested in the club but not for that sort of money

They surely can't be asking for 60 million? That can't be right?

Oh and to prove I signed the last one (think it was a trust one), I got a petition from a man called John this morning.

Nick,

I am a Ugandan gay man who hoped Britain would save me from the persecution I suffered in Uganda. But the UK government is preparing to deport me. I fear I will be tortured, imprisoned, and even killed because of my sexuality and my campaigning for LGBTI rights.

Yesterday it was:

Giving Water to Thirsty Pigs Shouldn't be a Crime!

Nick,

On June 22, 2015, Anita Krajnc gave water to pigs in a truck headed to a nearby slaughterhouse. In return for showing compassion towards thirsty animals, she was charged with "criminal mischief." She is now on trial and could face up to six months in jail.

I know it is bad, but they are so random

Isn't Portsmouth FC owned by a fan's trust?

Yes, they ask you to donate some money to promote it. Cheeky bastards.
Then it emailed me telling about a victory on tampon tax.
All is good in the world then, if you had never signed you would have never known about such a great victory

In a word no. Fans purchased, for £1K a piece, shares in Portsmouth Supporters Trust. However share is a bit misleading as you can't sell them and they basically have no value, to all intents and purposes it was a £1K donation.
The PST then used that money to buy a minority share in the football club.

Signed. Just wished the CT had taken more a proactive role in protesting for saving the academy and stopping the sale of acl to wasps.

Will probably make no difference.

I suspect the reason they didn't is because the council told them not to.

I've signed it.
The telegraph whips up a peasants revolt, what's took them so long to state the obvious.

Any more on Becchio or however it's spelt ?

Over 5k now
While I agree that everyone should sign what is the plan? Lets say it gets 100K signatures and Simon hires a van to drive down to London and present it to SISU. What then?

I can see them chucking it straight in the recycling bin. Doesn't there need to be more than 'SISU out' or 'sell the club'?

Present them with a viable way forward.

I suspect that interested parties are trying the opposite tactic. Making it as unviable as possible to stay.

Not being funny, Nick, but you sign it and then the very first email you get from them after, you simply press unsubscribe from all and it's job done.

It's a 20 second job.

What is this place coming to when people are asked to prove that they've signed a fucking petition.
