My lads just text me to say that there is a rumour on the coach on the way home that Sisu are out on Monday with an American group taking over. Apparently a well known ex Mercia Sound local radio presenter is the source.

It'd make a Telegraph petition a bit of a fraud if so really, wouldn't it - only set it up when something was going to happen, don't bother for all the years we've needed something to happen.

So because I don't think the Telegraph would be so vacuously useless, simple, inept and cowardly I vote for rumour, not truth.

If only if only. I don't believe it but at least I can dream for a few hours that this hell might be coming to an end.

This is the first post today I've read and made me sit up and take interest from all the usual crap posted on here, but just for a second as then I realised its probably rubbish

Linnell said on the radio there is an American looking to invest and CCFC could be on the radar.

Go figure.

Do we get to move the 'American Football ' thread to the ccfc forum?

I simply do not believe in rumors.
There was nil rumors regarding moving back to the ricoh so there probably shouldn't be rumors regarding this.

I would be amazed

I always turn off the radio at the end of the match so never heard any of it. I find the phone in way too depressing especially after we've lost. Linell must be fairly confident if he's let the cat out of the bag on air.

Well that's got everyone's Attention for a couple of minutes.

He said that they'd heard rumours that there was interest from America. Nothing more and nothing less. He certainly didn't put a timescale on anything or give an indication of how reliable or probable the rumour was.

I wouldn't start getting excited yet. There doesn't seem to be any substance to it at all.

Unless anyone knows better of course.

They wouldn't though, would they.

It'd be a paper beneath contempt that'd wait until a done deal happens before sticking the boot in, running up behind them and kicking them on the way out when it doesn't matter for anything other than a cheap publicity stunt to sell papers.

I have enough faith in journalism to think a newspaper wouldn't stoop so low as to ignore our plight for years because access to the club is more important than principle. I have enough faith that journalists are there to seek the truth rather than to be careerist cowards, with not an inch of fight among them.

This is not the journalism I was educated about.

So, much as I'd love to see SISU Out, my faith in journalistic integrity says that the Telegraph petition is the start, not the end.
