Some great reading on Richard keys Twitter. Go and check it out. I don't particularly like the guy but he seems honest enough and knowledgable enough.

Says we haven't hit rock bottom yet (hard to believe) but true as we can drop another league or two yet I guess. He says the club is worthless other than a £1 standard fee and because of that he thinks joy will just liquidate the club. She stands nothing to gain by selling us. So ditch us. He think there are people in the city who can and will help us if we can get the club back. Says sisu stole ccfc from Robinson after he wrote of debt for 30m (not sure on)

Overall doesn't know a lot more than us but cleared up a few loose ends for me. To end the argument about the value of the club, it is absolutely worthless. £1 tops.

He's probably right about the valuation but the rest of what he spouts is horse shit. Claims to be a CCFC fan but hasn't given 2 shits since we were relegated from Prem.

Also realistically the notion of them selling Ryton and then afterwards liquidating is contradictory as they can't even sell it until they have proved to FL and Sport England they have an alternative in place.

If SISU were selling Ryton to make a last quick buck then there is your opening gambit if you want to buy the club. The value of the Ryton site.

Personally, I believe Preston Haskell had the means and the business acumen. I did some background on him, he had a proven success rate in turning businesses, franchises and sporting franchises into a profit-making endeavour. Absolutely loaded too, he is.

He'd have had his work cut out with CCFC, though.

Like I stated a few days ago, SISU won't sell unless it's a ludicrous offer, which is unlikely. Recoup is the strategy, until they can call it a day. What happens thereafter is not for the fainthearted.

I believe at the time it was suggested he had net worth of £150m, he'd need to spend in the region of £50m+ in 2-3 seasons to get out of this league and challenge in the championship (Leicester's owner spent around £125m in 3 1/2 years). So how much of his net worth is cash in the bank and how much is tied up in property and business investments? We had this debate 3 years ago.

So the bloke who the Government turned to in the banking crisis who is a Cov fan.
A bloke who had successfully ran he own business in the city for a lifetime who is a Civ fan.
Advising an American who potentially hasn't got a clue about football.

I can see only two differences to today

1) Influence of Cov Fans

if he could not invest more than is current invested (on top of revenue) than the current owners.

Just never read the article myself and struggling to find it. I would like to read it.

Sounds like BG was saying he would have 50 million to spend on us over two seasons.
To be honest I would love that but wouldn't expect it.
I would just like to see the club run and know in my mind when a decision is made genuinely the first consideration is what is best fit the club long term.
Not what is best for a different business. Then the club.

That is realistic, any new owner need £500m+ wealth backed by an active profitable business that makes money. That excludes Wasps 100% owners wealth more like £30m

The club is worth £1 but that is a bit misleading. Paying £1 but having to service £30m of debt to SISU is a lot different to paying £1 and the debt being written off.
