Called you a name suggests you're not a peaceful man.
It undermines the people who do great work organising fan groups and devote many hours of their lives to our club. They deserve our support: not for some misguided, mouthy bloke on Twitter distracting from their arguments by being inflammatory.

OK not so young but fair play coming on here and putting himself on the firing line.
Any support for a protest against the owners is going to struggle to get any legs on here, its even cited by a Les Reid as the place to go and show support for SISU in their gallant crusade against the dark forces lining up against them.

I object to the word scab here. I'm a trade unionist and stood on picket lines and have called those who walk through lines 'scabs'. This is different...we will not prevent the game being played by not turning up. We will not reduce the money as the majority are season ticket holders with the Rochdale game already paid for.
If these people were serious they would do something that made the local and national media sit up, they would make the club (and world of football) take note and they would make the citizens of Coventry question why people feel so passionate.
For me we either need to ensure we delay kick off...prevent Rochdale arriving on time...blockade routes to the ground. Difficult to do and the possibility of arrest but it would get attention. It might even get parliament discussing and would put pressure on the FA & FL.
Or peaceful pitch invasion at half time... encourage Rochdale fans to join us. Peaceful sit in of both penalty areas...delay second half kick off. Sports media cover it. Interviews with press (need a couple of articulate and well briefed supporters to answer the questions.). Again might put spotlight on SISU and football authorities.
But boycotting a game where half won't join and many have paid... you are having a laugh. Who will care apart from city fans tearing each other apart.

That is absolutely right and the merchandise point can also be said for season ticket holders too. Even if nobody turned up the stats would still show a gate of 5500 - or what ever the amount of season tickets holders there are - so it wouldn't be a talking point to someone in any other part of the country who just happens to glance at the gate for that particular game, they would just think it was a really low turn-out.
I'm all for some form of protest but for season ticket holders to boycott a game would be akin to paying for a day at the races and then just sitting in the bookies instead.
Because of the issue of season ticket holders having already paid for the game it may be a better idea to boycott just the first half instead. The normal pre-match rituals could still be observed and just extended. Fans could stay in the pub or the Casino or maybe in the concourse and take their seats for the second half. That way if the team are in need of some vocal support for the last 45 minutes we would be there to help them along.
Actions of a show of strength should be just that -solidarity - but as the OP suggests there will be a division rather than a solid amalgamation.
Just a thought.

I think the lad is right, if you attend, you're just turning your back on fellow CCFC supporters trying to do something, you may aswell walk past them whilst they protest with you middle finger up in the air...

Just to clarify, I'm not hard GG, and I'm not some kind of keyboard warrior either. You won't see me calling out people here.
I'm a grown-up, and I've seen plenty enough of fighting to know that I don't much like it and I'd rather avoid it. But I'm also a man, and I'm from Cov, and like a lot of others there's an eventual limit to the kind of shit I'm willing to take - being called a scab for going to a game might be beyond that limit.
What you're supporting is unnecessarily stupid and provocative, and very little to do with free speech. It's to the credit of the chap who started this, that he's explained that and withdrawn - I hope that's an end to it.

I will be boycotting, if for no other reason than to show solidarity with those that are.
I will also hope to attend any action on the day of the Charlton game. Will these protests work, who knows, but if the club does dies I 'd like to able to say I tried to do something rather than just sit in the ground dismissing those that were trying telling them that everything they were doing was a shit idea.

I'm not Jesus, Brylowes, I'm just a man. I don't go looking for trouble, in fact just the opposite. I'd expect to be able to go to a game without someone (another CCFC fan!) yelling 'scab' or other abuse at me. I don't know exactly how I'd react, but I've got a pretty good idea how some others will. Neither would be right, but it is entirely predictable if we go down this road.

Exactly what I'm trying to say Nick. Where were the boycotters pre season when Mogga was Messiah and we were going to get our much sought after top 6 finish? Now we're doing awful and going nowhere their trying to get everyone else to boycott. Just because they pay on the gate to games they pick and choose. If they had made arrangements like this pre season, then it could've worked. But joy seppala has already taken my ticket money. That's why there should be a way to link people who do want to Boycott with the people who go in to show a bit of solidarity.
I mentioned things like Scarves at the time of Sixfields. It isn't going to change the world or get SISU out but if there was a charity scarf for example, and people are walking into the ground with them and people boycotting with them. There needs to be something that everybody agrees on, and it will never happen with a boycott so there needs to be ways to have people who do boycott, and people who don't to agree on something. That's why I suggested something to do with the legacy fund as judging by reactions on here, everybody agrees with that.

Absolutely right. There has to be an objective to the action and unless SISU take note or are 'hurt' by it then it is worthless. A boycott when the majority protesting have already bought tickets is laughable. I posted a couple ideas a bit ago re meaningful action that would get real attention

Just so you know, I would partake in any form of protest whether inside the ground or out, but only if the fans agree with each other on it.
Some comments in this thread proves that it's impossible to do so.

Sadly my sentiments too. I really have no idea what we can do that will make any difference because SISU won't even bat an eye-lid.
Whatever action is taken - and action is definitely needed - I think that all opinions should be respected. We need to regroup and find some way to be heard that suits the vast majority of fans. Just what that may be I don't think anyone knows. It could even be as far away as a next season ST boycott.......who knows.

This is true, the season Dion scored a hatrick including a last gasp winner, I sat in the
Sky Blue Stand more or less surrounded by Chelsea fans. There was lots of banter
Throughout the game, but many of them were very sporting at the end , shaking hands
And patting me on the back. Walking back to the city centre I was commenting how
Impressed I was with there fans sporting behaviour, until my mate pointed out the back
Of my shirt was covered in chewing gum.
