Yes I just read something will come out tomorrow from the telegraph about him.

he'd be mad to leave Southampton! Heard him interviewed on the radio after the West Ham game and sounded like he's loving it down there.

Still, an Eric Black thread is compulsory whenever we're looking for a manager!

Southampton

Southampton Football Club has today been made aware by the Daily Telegraph that, as part of their on-going investigation, the club's assistant first team manager Eric Black will feature as part of an article in tomorrow's paper.

The club immediately requested to be sent, by the Daily Telegraph, the details of this article, but the newspaper declined to share any further information. We have today contacted The FA and the Premier League, and intend to work closely with both bodies on this matter when the facts become clear.

Southampton Football Club is fully committed to investigating any situation that directly or indirectly relates to our club, employees or the wider community.

They are all at it, where you find a lot of money someone will always be ready to get a piece of the pie, agents will do deals like the Sam A one all day. That s why he was so chilled about talking about how he could get things done. This goes to old managers, players or anyone involved in the business, envelopes or suit cases under tables have been always a part of the game that most don't see.

Its not going to be hard to catch these people and not just in football you can name any sport and if you look hard enough someone will be ready to take that instant money to bend or break a rule. Greed is a bad thing but you put that with the amount in pro sport and its a dangerous combo.

Oh fuck off whoever has suggested that.

EDIT: Ah, you mean The Telegraph with regards to corruption rather than the Coventry Telegraph suggesting he would be our next manager like every bloody time someone leaves...

We all estimate the game is corrupt but its still shocking to see this come out. Got a feeling a lot more is coming on Managers and corruption.

Love the opening few responses to this thread, made me chuckle on another day of doom and gloom. :) This must be the first time his name has failed to be mentioned for a departing managers replacement in over a decade. Great Thread title.. very deceiving (even if not intentional) ;)

I think we need to employ someone real soon, preferably on an evening before a Daily Telegraph headline.
