Ive just had an email from CCFC advertising snooker at the Ricoh. Whats that about? Why would the football club be sending out non-CCFC events held at the Ricoh to their mailing list?

I had one and thought the same. If ACL have access to our mailing list I certainly hope we are getting paid for it.

If the club are selling (or giving away) our data without our permission they're in a world of trouble. I assume you lot don't tick the "don't share my info with third parties" box? Of course they'd get paid for it, how else would ACL get the list? You lot are hilarious with your paranoia at times.

Just interesting that if they get paid for it they've obviously come to a deal on this so it cant be too acrimonious between them!

They wouldn't necessarily get paid for it. It could be part of the rental agreement to agree to data sharing.

got one too, how extremely exciting, not.
If its part of the rental agreement ,that's shit., though for £100,000 we cant complain too much.

I think it's encouraging why not? I had the email to and it's good news. Shows hopefully some co operation

The logo would imply it is coming from and with the clubs permission. Perhaps its part of the rent agreement. This has happened for other events in the past.

I can only assume the snooker are paying us to advertise it, given bar 1-2 events they don't normally advertise Ricoh events. If so, no issues here.

Edit: just seen Nicks post

CCFC have been snookered at every turn so it seems quite apt that they are advertising snooker at the Ricoh :(

They'll use CCFC as I imagine we've got a far bigger mailing list than Wasps. Snooker is a bit of a working class pursuit too.

Edit, probably a bit of inverted snobbery there, they'll of course use the ACL/Wasps list as well

Not had this one so can't check it out, but maybe Ticketmaster are selling the tickets. As some have received and some have not received the email maybe only people who have purchased via Ticketmaster received the email.

Just had e-mail supposedly from CCFC logos etc. Advert for Champion of Champions snooker at Ricoh.... Just wondering what this has to do with CCFC? The football club surely are not getting any revenue..so presumably ACL?WASPS ? using a database of city fans

Hope people know they will have to cross the "bridge" from car park C for this event...

OK, time to take a "nap"..
