Yeah because I'm sure the police need to go on to fourms to find out where the away fans pub is. You know those same police who direct you to those same pubs on away days. Glad there doing there homework spying on fourms to be helpful on match days.

Plenty of decent pubs around London Bridge area, the Weatherspoons at Tralfagar Square is not bad if you're looking for somewhere for breakfast. Group of is making a day of it, arriving at Marylebone around 0930

If you're after a spoons then there is one in Greenwich and one in woolwich. Both a couple stops from the valley

Don't get the train from London Bridge as there are no direct trains from there to Charlton on the day. Victoria trains are going direct to Charlton but not those from Charing Cross.

Antigallican is the place to be on Saturday. Fun starts at 2pm!
Note: There are problems with getting across London on Saturday so best not to spend too long in City and get over to Charlton early. Check www.tfl.gov.uk website on Saturday for best options

Thanks, we re catching the tube from LB to Greenwich (about 9 mins) and then a bus from there to the ground (about 10 mins), quicker than going to Victoria and going on the train.

In Scotland you could also have Dundee United, Kilmarnock, East Stirlingshire and East Fife. More dubiously Celtic (real name Glasgow Celtic). Sligo Rovers in Ireland.

Yeah but only a handful are actually convenient for the ground. The whole area is a bit of a wasteland for pubs.

Hey guys. Lived in Charlton for two years. Antigallican is a bit of a dive. But as pointed put there are loads of decent pubs in the area. Even if you just walked to the top of the hill you have two other options, The Bugle Horn and The Swan. Greenwich has loads of decent pubs and Woolwich has a few good options too. If your a fan of craft beer then the tap rooms is good - a bit Shoreditch cool, but great beers. Not too far from Woolwich aresnal station. Blackheath is also really nice.

Oooohh and also if you are coming from the O2 then the pilot is just down the road, quite expensive but nice place.

Yes hence why the name of this room is 'Charlton - Away Pub' and not 'Anyone know if there is a Pub in London', but cheers for the input.

Everyone else nice one, will work our way to the Antigallican as that seems like it will have most City fans then to the march!

I live in London and it has always been my ambition to go to game by boat....I checked out the river boast service for tomorrow but it's not a viable option really in terms of times and changes.

But, please let me know if you choose to do it. You can get the boat from Embankment pier to Greenwich and it takes a few mins, leaves every 20 mins or so, and will cost about 7 quid. You'd have to get the bus from Greenwich though to the ground.

Also it may be possible to use the London Cable cars over the river, as these take you as far as North Greenwich (millennium dome). Again, the adjacent bus station has got busses to Charlton. You'd have to go out of your way to catch the Cable Cars from the north bank though, which is part of the reason it has struggled financially.

Jubilee line to north Greenwich then Buses 486, 472 or 166 will all take you to pretty much right outside the Anti-gallican. Its at Charlton station but with trains running from Victoria only the north Greenwich underground route is a good shout. There's a pub called the Pilot near north Greenwich too as an option -walk or bus one stop. But it is a bit awkward getting back on the bus from there. Do not get the 422 bus as it detours a way around Greenwich. Enjoy the day and hope to see you on the protests. Del
