Read an article today on Nottingham Forest, their owner is looking to sell, don't know how popular he is amongst Forest fans I suspect not very but he has offered to relinquish 80% of the club I think to their trust, retaining 20% on going. Could this be a way forward for us ?

Getting Sisu to the table, let alone selling, is all about giving them a way out that is palatable to them and that has so far proved to be impossible. Creating a scenario when they can walk away with their money is not going to happen and whilst the club can be self sustaining they can continue to trade and give hope( or bullshit) to their investors. No ground, no academy and relegation will mean that its a tough conversation but should the team get promoted then they can say that their plan is working and that the promised land is only one good season away. That is when they have an incentive to sell.

They have a safe rental agreement with naming rights at their stadium and plans to build an 80000 stadium. They have nothing in U.K. Football. Loads of money and a record of success in virtually everything they sponsor.

Have SISU ever contacted them re some deal - shared or outright sale?

I have no idea if Sisu have ever contacted them my guess would be no.

They will probably come to England at some point but there are lots of clubs I would buy first.

Agree about the Sky Blue, but you include the word 'future'. It may be a choice of successful future or dismal future. That could swing things.

When Red Bull took out the sponsorship and lease of the stadium in Leipzig, the stadium company was in trouble and were glad of the money. Now RB Leipzig are Bundesliga there are plans ready for an 80000 new stadium. If if if Red Bull took over the stadium sponsorship at the Ricoh, and paid good money for 20 years of matchday tenancy with all advertising on CCFC games under their control, would Wasps jump at the chance? It would increase the security for their bond holders and secure them revenue.

Our ground problem would be solved and Red Bull would be all over the news in the U.K.. If CCFC then became successful it would be win win all round.

Other clubs would be jealous and accuse of being a franchise. I wouldn't give a toss though - as the RB fans in Leipzig don't.

Err ...we are owned by a commercial company who would pull the plug tomorrow. A commercial brand would have to careful as it is a 'brand'. Brands can be damaged as well as built up. Up until now Red Bull has a good track record.

Red Bull do a complete rebrand, we'd play in their colours for example. That would limit the teams who would consider it.

My initial response would be no as we're sky blue but I guess it would only be a darker shade of blue. Don't think the FL would allow them to change the name of the team or add their name to the club crest.
