Men, still wearing shorts in October, especially the fat b@£/@rds
Lazy, pre-diabetic overheating or overgrown schoolboys?
Shit
I had my shorts on all week at Work.
It's not been too cold and it's been sunny so why not?

Business awards just noticed that the Ricoh arena has won the telegraphs business of the year sponsored by Jaguar you couldn't make it up:vomit: who voted the city council.

Been to a few of these things and the winners are nearly always the people who spend most on advertising or sponsorship through the year.

its really irritating never mind expensive! We just have no idea who is going to turn up apart from the 6 or so people who were polite enough to respond. The thing is that their children would probably have parties and would expect the same courtesy. We have said next year that she can invite 3 or 4 select friends for bowling and a sleepover or something. Better shit to worry about!!

Going back to work after two weeks in Cape Verde.

Arrived in Birmingham at 4am on Wednesday, 5 degrees, pissing down with rain and once I got back to the car it required a jump start as the meet and greet attendant didn't switch the headlights off after parking it up, thus draining the battery.

Welcome back.

We used that meet and greet when we were in Portugal at East Mids. It was shite, took about 30 mins to hand the keys in and sign the rake load of forms then exactly the same on the way back with the car accumulating about 30 miles in between!

We always respond on the day we get them and always let the kids go even if it means I miss a match as my wife works weekends. I think bowling was about £10 ish per child including the meal and a voucher for a free game for each child great fun and the parents love it as well

A bit different but somebody who I used to work with parked her car at the airport before going on holiday and we got a call at work to say it had been pinched and had ram raided a jewellers.

In defence of parents on the party thing, my daughter used to often bring home the birthday invites from school either on the day of the party , or more often than not, several days later.

I know some parents are rude, but young kids not bringing home invites and school letters and other bumpf is rife!!

That applies for work events too. Currently I have anywhere between 20, and 120 attending!

Same happened to me.

I sent out 300 party invitations to people to celebrate the story of my life on my 50th birthday and only 7 people turned up.

I've even ordered an extortionate cake for the occasion!

Twats that go out to the shop in their pyjamas or onesies.

Funny you should say that as a friend has had a car go into the back of hers today, the guy who got out was in pj's and a dressing gown. Twat.
Yup.

A neighbour across the street sometimes comes out in her pyjamas and dressing gown, gets in the car and drives off and comes back half an hour or so later in the same attire.

The family she comes from also use their mobile phones when they are driving and all leave gaps in front and behind their cars when parking. They all leave quite large gaps, but they are just not quite big enough for another car to fit in, front or back.

As they have five cars between them it has become very difficult to park.

Although I try and avoid stereotyping, sometimes there is seemingly a 'type' and domino effect in operation.

They smoke - they drive fast - they go out in their pyjamas - they park without a care for any neighbour - they drive whilst on their phones.

My neighbour does the same, they have 2 cars and both are shit at driving and struggle to reverse into a normal space so take up a car and half's spot to make it easier for them to park, they often take up 4 car parking spaces between the 2 small cars, they also both finish early on a Friday and often leave the cars all weekend in the same spots.

Do you live in my street by any chance?

Undercover police who make it blatantly obvious and try to get you to engage in a bit of speeding with them.

Twice in 3 weeks it's happened now.

They were both by the A45 / The bypass bit towards holyhead road.

1 black audi estate, 2 blokes in there with headsets in and the vests
The other was a white BMW, they had the actual uniform on

Both giving it loads from the slip road and egging for a bit of a race.

Seen a kid getting away with murder in the middle of town whilst the 'mother' is on the phone. She then gets arsy when she cannot get the shopping trolley with one hand and starts complaining! Put the fucking phone down you idiot!

Yeah, seen that so many times.

Happened just yesterday.

Was out in the park walking the puppy and this woman was there with two small children (am guessing 4 and 5) and they were really excited with all the things in nature they were discovering. I heard them as I walked past.

'Mummy, Mummy, look, look. It's all green. Look at this leaf, Mummy.' Lots of stuff like that. All excited and looking to their mum to participate in their discoveries.

The mother was on her mobile phone and totally engrossed in that. Not one single bit of interaction with the kids at all. :(

I had a similar experience at the memorial park, a young kid no more than 2 ran right in front of the swing when I was pushing my daughter. The poor lad of course got a full face of shoe where the woman was on the phone, she tutted shot me a dirty look and picked the kid up by one arm whilst still talking on the phone. No apologies, no attention to the poor kid. Surely you can do without your phone for a hour?

People occupying your seat on a train.

Would say at least 9 times out of 10, over a period of many years, I have reserved seats only to find someone occupying them.

You get the odd 'Sorry,' but like today, going to Manchester, people give you the usual look of 'how annoying' when you politely ask them to move.

Trains back from London and Manchester and Liverpool etc . are fine because it is the initial departure point and our seats are vacant anyway, but anytime we catch a train that is mid journey you can be damn sure someone is sitting in our seat.

Today the display quite clearly said reserved from Coventry to Manchester, yet there , not at all to our surprise were two people in our seats.

These people always know what they are doing and just chance their arm. As soon as you mention it they know straight away and don't ever do the 'oh sorry, are they?' response to the 'these are our seats ' statement.

It's always a look of how dare you, or annoyance at having to gather up their things and sit elsewhere.

As I am a humble guy I hate to ask people to move, but I do always do it on principle.

Bloody annoying and half the time these people have all they stuff splayed out across the table like they own it. Grrrrrrrrr!!!!
