According to the cov telegraphs Facebook page it's been given the to ahead by the government, about time!

Might get a few more people up there now that you can get a direct train

Great news, hopefully this will attract more people and will be easier than the hustle and bustle of having to get a bus/coach each week through town etc. I know a lot of people who have been put off going because of how hard it is to get to, and it also might have something to do with the lack of 'Football'

it wont change much for CCFC no but it will further enhance the Ricoh as a venue and it will help regenerate North Coventry. The station was never solely or even largely about the ability of CCFC to benefit from it.

A 5 minute journey from town to the Ricoh has to be a good thing for everyone. People who live in Tile Hill and Canley it will take what 15 minutes? Good news for everyone it's just a shame people won't go for the fact the football is poor.

If only they'd got the station up for the 05/06 season, when we were playing reasonable football, had a pretty decent squad and one of the best home records in the championship. Still, better late than never eh?

The benefit of the station is going to be more widely felt at concerts and exhibitions these days, I'd suggest, as they draw in the bigger crowds. I don't see it having much difference with regards to football attendances, except maybe for those few who would try it once because of the "it's something new" factor. There is no doubt though, this is long overdue.

I'm really pleased by this, yes it may not draw thousands but it'll make us a much more attractive venue. I talk a large amount of football fans and the main thing they say about the Ricoh is how difficult it is to get to by train. It'll make a huge difference, it's ok if your team brings thousands and they're put on buses but for other teams it'll be really useful. Very very pleased.

This is great news whatever division we are in. Yes we should have got this before but its better late than never. The big shame here is the revenue we have lost over the years, getting to Brighton was great on the train from their town.

Anyway water under the train bridge so to speak, at least we some positive news.

Anywhere else would have had this done for the Olympics or for that matter when the Ricoh was built.

Parking is a joke, at least we might go to town first and have a beer then get on the train. Rather than pay the crazy price for a beer before the game at the Ricoh for Carlesberg :thinking about:

Cov to Brum international is only £1.90 so such a short journey should be much cheaper to the Ricoh especially than parking.
