Googled the venue as its not at the Squirrel for a change. First thing that came up:
We therefore note, with major concern, that the Royal Warwicks Club, in Coventry City Centre has hosted a series of far right meetings in recent years and appears to have become a hub for fascist meetings and activity in the city.
Someone might want to check into that.

Who in their right mind would want it.
Do it all for free in your spare time, sometimes booking holiday to go to meetings and all you get is shit, and accused of rubbing up to the wasps to get free tickets........

I don't think they did.

Unison still have a boycott on.

This means that, as a member of this union, I can't go to the 21st November meeting even if I wanted to.

Perhaps time to change the venue?

Edited to emphasise, I don't want to argue the politics, I don't want to argue whether this particular boycott is right or wrong and yes, I'm sure the venue was booked in ignorance but... it needs clearing up as it could have a detrimental effect on so many levels.

Does this revelation explain why certain supporters were so keen on the team wearing chocolate brown shirts?

So fucking what? Why does a union have to dictate where the SBT open meetings are? Been there plenty of tines and no hassle. The Im Offended generation up in arms again...

I could have told you about 5 years ago, longer than that, that the royal Warwicks hosted far right meetings. BNP etc.
I used to play pool in there way back when my dad worked at the post office. 20p a game. Soon after it came out we quickly moved on.

Could you not do the trick to jam it open and get free games? Save a fortune!

Yes and the appalling folk at Ipswich rejecting it leading the likes of Wallace Ferguson et al and thousands of fans wearing it, disgraceful.

Too right I'm offended by the EDL and Britain First, and too right I don't want to set foot in anywhere that supports them in any way.

You have however, spectacularly missed the point that in this instance it's about not giving any ammunition whatsoever to anybody who may want to go after the Trust's competence or otherwise, while also not excluding fans from meetings.

You take it as a union dictating where to hold the meetings as opposed to a support that's supposed to be inclusive not wanting to use a premises that's used by right wing groups?
You need to have a good think about things mate, or are the you not bothered about the feelings of your fellow supporters if they're not white anglo saxons?

I went in the Albany once, I swear the lights in there were a random colour and it was like something off Trainspotting.

Well if the unforseen circumstance is that they've been made aware of the unpalatable association

Unforseen circumstances my arse.

Well if the unforseen circumstance is that they've been made aware of the unpalatable association, they should be applauded. I'm sure the venue wasn't booked because of its links with the far right!

This also means you can attend now, which is a good thing.
