Just a heads up. Big Ron will be signing copies of his autobiography in the club shop this Sunday between 1-4 pm. Might be an interesting read.

I'd say he was a symptom of the way the Richardson ran the club rather than the cause. He was the wrong sort of manager for a club like City, it was Phil Neal who bought Dion, Neal should have been given a chance and more funds to prove himself.. but it wasn't the sexy option (not that Ron is sexy :inpain:, but you know what I mean).

If you look at his managerial career it'll show he just spent , spent ,spent then got sacked .

tbf, he was the appointment when Robinson got more involved.

The idea wasn't bad as such (and I remember Trevor Brooking tipping us as title outsiders the season we signed Salako and co!) but we tried to do too much too soon really. He should have kept the nucleus of the side he finished with, and just added to it gradually.

Just been in tesco, felt a bit sorry for him sat on his own watching the world go by.

Still, looked like he had a big plate of biscuits.

That fat twat had a go at me years ago when I worked for CWR. Just because I walked a couple of steps onto his hallowed training pitch at Ryton to interview Gordon Strachan. I told him to keep his hair on as he bawled me out. And for that he kept me waiting over an hour for my interview! Hated him ever since!

Why don't you pop down and ask him. I don't remember hearing many complaints when he was spending it, also isn't that exactly what many are getting excited about on the investment thread.

Actually , I did question where all this spending money was coming from , from gates of 20.000 at best . terrible manager but , guess we'll have to differ on that.

And where have I said I thought he was a good manager. Good or bad some might have wanted to go and see him, hence the op. Conclusion jumping me thinks.

Got there at 12, first to get my book signed, i would say when he was appointed his remit was to keep us up which he did succeed in doing as we were looking certs for relegation.
