Good news for any boxing fans with BT

Promoter Frank Warren and his pioneering boxing channel BoxNation have signed a multi-year deal with the multimedia and telecommunications giant, BT.

The landmark deal will see Warren promote 20 premium live boxing events a year that will be simulcast on BT Sport and BoxNation.

The ground-breaking deal will see a further ten events per year, including top tier pay-per-view events and other high-quality domestic shows broadcast, exclusively on BoxNation.

A total of 30 live televised boxing events per year will see Frank Warren cement his place as Europe’s most active Promoter.

BoxNation, the UK’s first and only dedicated boxing channel, will be now be included in BT Sport’s pack of channels and made available to all new and existing BT Sport customers as part of their subscription.

Yep. Hearn must be panicky, only star he has is Joshua. The rest aren't attached to a British network and most can't stand Eddie Hearn. Hopefully this signals the beginning of the end of awful Matchroom mismatch cards and forces them to up their game.

Ive always liked the way that Eddie H operates, yes it all seems a bit clicky but he has been a major player in the success of British boxing as of late.

This news means a Crolla Flanagan fight looks as far away as ever, but it will hopefully Give warren a platform to build a higher calibre stable before is able to really compete with Matchroom.

BJS, as much as I like him, will lose his title as soon as he grows a pair and fights anyone with any credibility.

There is definitely opportunity for FW though, with de gale having one fightleft with matchroom, I think Selby is in the same situation, Frampton possibly available to sign up, T Fury hopefully making a return, Khan floating around aimlessly, this added financial clout for FW could be just what he needs to get these stars signed up.

Competition is healthy in any industry but lets just hope it doesn't get in the way of big domestic bouts and turn into a Golden boy/Top Rank type fued.

Think you're wrong on BJS, he's a good fighter and bar Golovkin, beats anyone at 160.

I like him, not sure he still has the desire he had earlier in his career, I think GGG & Jacobs beat him, I think he struggles in a rematch against Eubank Jr aswell, I'd love to see him in any of those fights though if his mindset is correct

Think you're right he's lost the desire a bit, but I'd still back him to beat Eubank Jr at 30%. Show that guy a bit of movement and a jab and he hasn't got a clue. Eubank Jr is the most overrated, overhyped fighter I think I've ever seen.

Ward Kovalev this weekend, toss of the coin fight for me, Ward has to box very well and smart not to get tagged by Kovalev, I think the Russian hits Ward harder than hes ever been hit early on and it shakes him throwing him off, Kovalev for me late stoppage, should be a beauty of a fight though!

Also on Hearn, I think the guy is bad for boxing. Puts his fighters in stay busy fights against Latvian cab drivers, plays the ranking systems and gets them undeserved shots at world titles. The guys lose because they've not had the proper seasoning in fights prior to the big one, they ain't learning anything. In his 5 years at Sky you can count on one hand the good fights he's put on. (Excluding Mandatories).

I think Kovalev wins too. Ward is past his prime, at 168 he was awesome but he's not got that size and strength advantage he used to such good effect at the lower weights. Since he's moved up to 175 he's not looked as good for me and he's had 2 major surgeries. Think Kovalev stops him mid-late rounds.

Gotta disagree there off the top of my head
AJ Whyte
Crolla Perez 2
Crolla Linares
Brook GGG
Froch Kessler 2
Froch Groves 2

The future looks bright for his stable aswell, AJ looks on track to possibly be the most dominant heavyweight of all time, Callum Smith looks the real deal, the GGG fight appears to have reignited Brooks hunger, Burnett, Warrington, Whyte, K Yafai all look like future world champs

Crolla-Perez 2 was mandated by the WBA and wasn't a particularly great fight. Golovkin/Brook was a terrible fight and Froch Groves 2 was ordered by the IBF.

Callum Smith looks the real deal knocking out nobodies, the guy has been mandatory for the WBC for over a year now and he's biding his time fighting no hopers, he will get exposed at world level.

As for Warrington and Whyte being future world champs... LOL.

He has one star and that's Joshua, he could leave him in the near future and go solo to maximise profits.

Khan, Groves, Degale, Fury, Khan and Frampton are all with other promoters and refuse to work with Hearn because they can't stand him.

Sunday in the early hours
Kovalev vs ward

Truly the Best vs the Best in a weight division and very rare to have unbeaten champions fighting each other

Both unbeaten
Both brilliant at what they do
Both very unbeatable

Will be a very very good technical fight for the purists only I'm afraid, will be like a chess match.

Honestly I am calling it for Andre Ward on points only because he's so bloody technical that he makes everyone look bad
That said, he's been on his ass before against worst opponents than the mighty kovalev, he's hard as fucking nails

It's either going to be a stinker or a Kovalev blow out.

And yes it's on Sky, 2am.
I think stinker.
Ward is super technical, look what he did with every other opponent, Fights to win on points and Make you look shit.
Froch got badly shown up against him.
I still think Ward will win on points

Ward is coming off two major surgeries though and he's not looked great at 175. It's the biggest fight in years IMO, much bigger than Mayweather/Pacquiao.

most definitely biggest fight, 2 unbeaten champions fighting each other is rare as rocking horse shit.
Kovalev is pure Boxing gold warrior but Ward is just too clever
It's a 50/50 for sure
