I know I was being flippant ! As for the fight it was one sided but energy Eddie was tough. He beat Golovkin as an amateur, but that was years ago.

He gets caught easily especially late in fights. He comes across as a brawler.
He's lost his fluidity, used to flow off the jab but now he looks wild and ragged. Gets stopped next time he steps up to world level.

Noticed him keep wiping at his eye before it was bleeding. Seen it before when people have had blood clots on the brain. I hope hes ok. But his corner should have stopped it earlier.

The ban boxing brigade will be loving this. You're right it just needs boxers cornermen and referees to see if a boxer has had enough,as many fighters won't quit.

Thats quite a few this year that have been badly injured this year. I'm not of the ban boxing club but I wonder with the ever increasing money involved whether the refs and trainers are feeling under pressure to keep the fight going as long as possible. I'd also add that we now know a lot more about bead injuries and concussion ,etc than we did even 3-4 years ago, and sports like football, rugby, NFL, etc are taking it a lot more seriously which has resulted in getting players subbed off quicker and missing the next game to enable them to recover fully. It would seem sensible that boxing reviewed some of this and their policies to if they haven't already.

The skills told in the end, don't think people can argue, Ward was so much better from 3rd round, so skillful , kov was hard as nails but low in skills , Ward did so Many more head shots, kov missed the target despite throwing more leather

looking at the judges cards, thats exactly how they saw it
it could have gone either way, but yeah, kov just threw one twos one twos, and after the second, he hardly touched wards chin
ward would have won by knock out if he had any power, he had loads of head shots from 3 onwards
ward made kov miss badly once he'd woken up, kovalev missed his chance after the knockdown

You don't win multiple belts and have a P4P ranking based on no skill. Also you don't win 5 rounds against Ward having no skill. Kovalev won every single round against Bernard Hopkins, you don't do that without skill.
People look at his KO ratio, and like Golovkin people label them crude sluggers when they're far much more than that. Shame.
