Rumours are abound, there is potential investment coming. Tight lipped around the club and I cant find out if SISU are going or who is interested in investing. Will keep you posted.
And before you ask, I am not saying who my source is and this is all I know at the moment.

I got something through my twitter the other day that said something along the lines of, "they are a big club, hopefully this will help them get back where they belong" then it vanished and I haven't been able to find it again, but I'm new to twitter and haven't worked it out yet

It's Red Bull ,they can start with a club with no assets whatsoever and build up everything like they did with Leipzig.
They are getting a brand new stadium and all the rest.
A city of our size surely someone can see the potential, even if they have to invest heavily at the start.

I'd certainly take that and them!

With Leipzig did they build a new ground etc? What division were they in?

Someone recently put up a good article on the rise of RB Leipzig.
All I know is they took over a small I think ninth tier team close to the city and totally rebranded them.
The club is hated in Germany as they see it much like MK Dons here as a franchise, which it is obviously. I think in a recent game the game was held up for quite some time as opposing fans went on the pitch to demonstrate about how the club came about. To get round the law you can't name a club after a business they call themselves Rasen Ballsport Leipzig with the emphasis on RB,
They rose through the leagues very quickly and support in and around the city grew and now Red Bull are building a 80,000 seater stadium in the south of the city.
There is still Locomotive Leipzig who the older ones will remember in the city who are in the fourth tier I think, but Leipzig is a big city so can support two clubs.
I think most of the above is correct ish

You are always good with your information, so hope this is too.

Surely it wouldn't be joint venture with SISU it Red Bull were considering to re-brand us? And considering the rumour is about potential investment, we could probably rule out Red Bull?

Red Bull took over SSV Markranstädt in 2009, they've done pretty well since then
2009/10 Oberliga Nordost (5th tier) - 1st by 22 points with a +57 goal difference
2010/11 Regionalliga - 4th
2011/12 Regionalliga - 3rd
2012/13 Regionalliga - 1st and promoted via play off
2013/14 3 Liga - 2nd and promoted
2014/15 2 Bundesliga - 5th
2015/16 2 Bundesliga - 2nd and promoted
Currently sat top of the Bundesliga.

They rent their ground and their success means the ground is now making a profit for its owners however they are looking to either expand that stadium and get a much better deal or move to a new stadium, for which I think they already have the land.

Cheers CD , it was a fifth tier club not ninth as I said.
As far as I know the stadium is definately being built, to grow support virtually from nothing to a ground that will hold 80,000 in such short time is very impressive

It is indeed. Its also worth nothing that RB have said they will only go ahead with that sort of project if it is shown to be sustainable so its not just a vanity think that could leave them in a mess down the line, the numbers have to stack up.

If they were to take us over they wouldn't be allowed to change the club name so it wouldn't be as drastic as what has happened there. Realistically we'd be playing in a slightly darker shade of blue and have the possibility of a new stadium when our position justified it. I'd take that for sure.

I hope people are going to Oxford as we speak dressed as Red Bull cans like the day we won 5-2 at Gillingham (Shaw scored!) & that week before there was talk of Sheikhs taking us over and about 50 City fans were dressed in head scarfs singing "Richer than Chelsea!"...........
